The Buzz is Growing Around North Carolina and Kanon Catchings
Who could be the first commit for North Carolina in the portal? There is growing buzz surrounding Kanon Catchings.
I really like Catchings, like his 3 potential too. I also think it is a tough sell to keep Drake. If they can, Drake may play some 2, and go long athletic dee. If they grab a solid point who can score and a big. Look out !!6'9" small forward that could also play some stretch 4.
I imagine he'd start at SF if Powell goes pro. Though I'd love it if Powell and Wilson started, and Catchings was their primary backup.
Sounds like Manek's rep coming in from Oklahoma. Dee could be a problem, I still like how he played on offense at BYU.Haven’t watched him play college ball, but Catchings was a lazy defender in High School. Signed with Purdue out of HS but transferred to BYU when he knew he would have to earn his spot.
Yeah but here is the interesting part, kid was 6'6" when he committed to BYU, he grew to his current 6'9" since. Now do you recall when you hit your growth spurt as a young man, I recall mine, I was stiff and my hips felt at times like a knife was stabbing me, at times I could barely walk, scared me because I didn't understand why I was hurting. Once that growth spurt is over it takes a kid a while to get control over his body again, takes a while to figure it out. At 6'6" your weight is distributed in one way but a 3" growth spurt redistributes that weight before it starts adding it back. Kid should now have gone thru all of that and about to become the player that was inside all along. Very interesting kid, is he a 3 or a 4 now, is he maybe both?Haven’t watched him play college ball, but Catchings was a lazy defender in High School. Signed with Purdue out of HS but transferred to BYU when he knew he would have to earn his spot.
