I can't understand rooting against the American team because of K. That's disturbing. I certainly will overlook my distaste for duke and pull for America. But with that said, I haven't watched 1 single minute of the basketball games and I've watched only about 5 minutes of the Olympics.
If I was wanting to bitch about something duke related in the Olympics, it would be the muslim American woman that attended duke, just won a medal in fencing and then shit on America when they were interviewing her.

I root for the Americans in every sport. That means rooting for the basketball, despite one of my least favorite people in sports being the coach. But to be truthful, the NBA pros winning the gold has become such a foregone conclusion that I haven't watched a minute of Olympic basketball in 20 years. Frankly, I'm amazed when another country even keeps it close.

I don't love our USA Olympic basketball program, not because of who the coach is, I can put that aside, it just doesn't feel right, it does not for me feel like the swimmers or the gymnasts. It doesn't feel like the players are as vested in the Olympics as those other athletes are. I feel similar with golf and tennis, it just has a different feel for me, not like most of the rarely seen, Olympic sports.
