58-55 under 12 minutes to go. HICKS on the bench now with 4 fouls in about 10 minutes of play. Parker for UCLA also with 4 fouls.
That's garbage. UCLA is consistently jumping into the defenders and getting rewarded. Paige avoided the defender on the other end, had some contact, and was basically punished for it.
Ya know what, the defensive help on the interior has been SPOT ON the second half, especially when Luke Maye has played.
Yes he does, but he's well aware of those limitations and always plays within them.
A Jackson runner and the good guys are up by 10 at 67-57. Defense on Alford by Britt, Paige and Berry have made a major difference in this game.
THIS is the Crap that is beginning to make basketball harder and harder for me to watch.
I absolutely love what Luke Maye brings to this team .. He may have limitations but he knows and embraces that ..ALWAYS putting himself in position to be the most efficient he can be
That may be because Dook once had a Parker, and the Refs are just used to letting a guy with that name get away with fouls.
The Heels finally have some separation. They HAVE to continue working and extend this lead to the 17-20 point mark. Don't let up now. Keep the throttle floored.
Berry again scores going to the hole and he is fouled by Alford. Where has this aggressiveness attacking the rim by Berry been all season? He has been tremendous doing this the whole game. He is not a Lawson or Felton but he is getting closer.
