84-72 as Carolina calls time. Johnson and Berry having monster second halfs. Defense on Alford in the second half mostly by Berry and Britt has been solid.
Yeah, I didn't like that last shot by Berry because Brice was scoring so easily but Joel has been fantastic.

89-76 for the good guys as Berry, Johnson and Paige lead a second half scoring explosion. Defense tremendous especially after the first 10 minutes of play. Alford will have nightmares thinking about Britt and Berry guarding him
Held UCLA to like 5 3-point attempts in the second half. Teams probably aren't going to 2-point us to death.
In a year where a number of teams can win it all it helps to have multiple guys who can score and score in a variety of ways. Our O should be pretty good no matter who we play because we have 5 guys who can score double digits consistently and we have Hicks, Pinson and Britt who can all score 10+ at times depending on their minutes.
You won't hear from him after this game . . he surfaces only after a loss.
Our DEFENSE turned this game after about ten minutes. We put Theo on the #10 I believe who could not miss in the first 8 minutes. I LIKED this game from our perspective A LOT!!!! WHY? Paige clearly was not the normal dominant factor finishing with 10 points thanks to that bomb at the end.
We showed we can WIN against solid teams without our starting center and without Paige playing his A game. Hicks was really good and Brice sensational.....liked the minutes Maye gave us and Theo is an important cog.... just have to figure his game out Hey doochies lose and we win !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't convince me there is a team as deep as us on the offensive side of the ball. If we can step up and continue to get better and guard the stinking 3 , then I have no reason to doubt this team can win a title.
All your criticisms and we win by 13 and it wasn't even that close a game at the end. And even with limited minutes Hicks nearly fouled out. Leave Basketball to Roy.

A quality win over a team with quality wins. This was a big time game. I'm not sure Carolina would have won this same game last year. Everyone taking steps forward.

And as someone said above, UCLA only took 5 threes the second half. Part was they looked gassed, but most of it was we did excellent at playing about a foot or less off their shooters, going over the top of screens, much better hedge and recover defense by our bigs.
Did you hear Roy's single quote at halftime? "we can't let them take and make so many 3s" and they did lock that down after the first ten minutes. So saying Roy is 100% stubborn about not guarding the 3 is just false. He's just got to get his guys more dedicated to doing it, without getting beat on the dribble, or with having good help defense if they do get beat.
