The new conspiracy theory from state fans is that UNC received the new NOA last week, but we kept it a secret until after the deadline to declare for the draft. If it were released last week everyone would have declared. Those guys are always good for a laugh.

The best part about that fake Twitter account was that two insiders have been exposed... Manshalli from crack ride & aligned for nine from RR was BOTH quoting his info like they had insiders.

Funny funny stuff, I checked DI to see their meltdown and noticed some comments about me and what I have been saying about this over the last few days. Basically it said I did not have a clue and al lI did waa write long threads that hijacked discussion? I "liked" that reply, now who doesn't know what the heck they are talking about shonuff? Cue broken record. Have you never heard that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit? The NCAA has already hurt our recruiting a ton by dragging out the investigation, unfortunately abetted by us at times. Time to put it behind us and move on.

tks. So since there was nothing they knew they couldnt allege anything. Even though they could still have alleged it and made unc jump through hoops and file suit over it and drag out the stuff another year and hurt recruiting. But no, they didnt. Evidently their desire to comply to their own policies and jurisdictional legalities superceded this hatred they have of unc. Its interesting that just their own policies would scare them off now from messing with us now when the fear of commiting fraud and destroying the ncaa tourney and forfeiting millions of dollars didnt a couple weeks ago. So i guess we truly can move on now. No shot to anybody. Just wanna give credit where it is due. Kudos to the ncaa.

DSouthr, I'm not a man of many words. You always explain it for everyone and once again you nailed this. Yep, you get much credit on this topic my friend. Now, don't be to hard on Showenuff on the Duke board. I hear that he is still upset about having to discontinue 3-4 years ago his annual ACC tourney party. The reason for this was lack of attendance. That was a pretty big deal for him in his little country town with a population of 1,628 people. He has not recovered yet. We must feel sorry for him. Also, the Mods have threatened to ban him if he does not straighten his act up. It seems that he is pissing some folks off over there. So, take it easy on the him. That site would not be the same without him and the Salad Man.

I have a question. With the possibility of the LOIC looming could they still somehow punish the basketball and football programs. Not flaming just curious to what those in the know think.
You never know when it comes to the NCAA, but the new NOA makes it hard to specifically target a sport other than women's basketball. It's doubtful that they would give every sport a post season ban and it would be hard to justify giving a team a ban when they are not specifically named in the NOA. I have no inside info, but my guess would be a big fine and probation. They might try to find a way to doc some scholarships, but that's hard to do since no specific sport was mentioned except for women's basketball. I expect them to loose some scholarships and possible post season ban. All of this is just speculation on my part, so take it with a grain of salt.
