This has to be the absolute most pathetic loss I have ever seen in my life. I cannot believe that we lost this game. If anyone in the country thinks this team is the best in the country they are idiots. Either we don't have the mental acumen to be that team or we don't have the killer instinct.
And as much as I love Roy Williams, to not call a time out at the end to set up a last shot was ridiculous.

What a shock!!!! Roy is outcoached again!!!!! This team is junk outside of Johnson. We are in serious trouble next year without Johnson and as usual we have no shooters. First weekend of ncaa tourney exit is coming.
Everyone but Brice played and coached tight. That is an embarrassment for Brice to play like that and lose his final game against Duke at DES. They should all apologize to him, cause that young man played his heart out and has to walk into a losing locker room.
At some point you have to call timeout and calm the guys down and run a play for the guy that had 20 in the first half,
I think it's pretty obvious now. That was just pitiful.

We might have the best players but we have a mediocre coach at best
In all honesty, I knew if the game were close then we'd lose. Roy is a below average coach and K is an excellent bench coach. And as expected, Roy f'ed up the last 6 minutes by not calling timeouts and letting his guards shoot stupid ass shots. Paige and Roy lost this game. It's on them.
I could understand Roy just letting them play on the final shot IF they had actually been playing basketball the last 10 possessions. But this team went retard mode for the last 8 minutes, so why do you not call and timeout to run a play? Stupid!
Really not sure why we're all so upset and confused. This is what this team is. And this is how Roy coaches. Leaves every stadium with at least 2-3 timeouts in his pocket.

As much as I despise Seth Greenberg as a commentator, he hit the nail on the head. When we had the chance to put this game away we stopped doing what got us the damn lead in the first place - feed it inside. Brice had 18 in the first half and 2 in the second????
And where the hell was Meeks? Or Jackson?
If this team wants to do anything from this point on, they better man the F up and start playing like they want it. If they don't, they can forget it. Bottom line is we cannot finish games when we have teams on the ropes and if we don't figure out how to do it we will end up at home watching someone else play for a title once again.

Don't put this all on Marcus. He's been making all of those shots his entire career. At least he plays with heart..Kennedy Meeks is the softest lil cuddly teddy bear I've ever seen in my life. His little grin is going to give me nightmares.
Heels 05 I said the same thing, that's in Roy and Paige. My wife knows nothing about basketball but she knows it's not normal for a team to blow leads as much as we do.
Roy's press conference is the last damn thing I want to see. Can't believe I despise Roy so much...what happened to him and UNC? We can only blame the academic scandal for so long. X's, O's and situational basketball - Roy has been awful for years.

Remember when we were giving up easy baskets in the first half and Roy wasn't concerned according to his halftime interview? He was fine with giving up 42 points. Great strategy and great coaching again Roy! Without two supremely talented teams in 2005 and 2009, Roy is nothing more than a coach that can't beat the true great x and o coaches of the game. Wound Roy win with 5 players on the road? We all know the answer to that!!!
Roy never was that good. He inherited Doherty's team and lucked into Hansbrough.
Marcus should not have been shooting those shots and if Roy had called a timeout to calm everyone down and call a play...

I want to play against Kennedy Meeks in a pick up game. I would bust his ass. He is so soft he makes Richard Simmons look like a badass.
Bottom line..f$#k Roy!!..Steve Robinson can recruit in the inner city and relate to those type of players..these are the tough type of kids that we need!!..Baltimore,Chicago,NY,Philly....is where we need to recruit!!..Roy can't get through to these kids..
Seriously! I feel 100% confident I could rough him up. I might foul out in 10 minutes of game action but he will be shook.
And not even on just the last play, but at ANY point in the last 10 minutes of that game when Brice wasn't even touching the ball on possessions. That is Roy's job to make that happen.
Coach K took Roy behind the woodshed tonight. Duke played with a ton of heart and loose. Coach K has a lot to do with that. Besides Brice, we played tight and tentative. Roy has a lot to do with that.
