GT is the first team I have noticed all year who have pounder UNC inside

A team with big men who can play with the bigs on their back have always been able to do well against us because we play it that way. It makes them earn it though.

plus the GT screeners had do some borderline moving screens to get him as open as he was.

Nice takeover by Joel Berry late in the game, in crunch time. Those 6 points on two trips were lethal.

And as much as I rag on the other Joel (James) - he looked and played really well today. Didn't try to do too much, finished well, and played decent defense without fouling. Had some really nice rebounds today.

86-78 is the final in a real battle. Got to give Joel James a big thumbs up today especially after ALL THE ABUSE he has taking here. Also Berry even with those 5 turnovers was the man down the stretch especially from the line and his three after a pass from Paige was what got Carolina up and going in the last 4 minutes. Brice another solid game getting another double double and blocking several shots. Hicks just a beast down low. Jackson showed up offensively in the second half. Good free throw shooting also helping.

While Paige didn't have a huge offensive second half, I think he and Joel Berry locking down their perimeter shooters was another key to the game. The Heels have enough guys who can score, that some of our guys can help us win by just shutting down the insane-on-fire guys on the opponent. I think Smith was 5-6 from 3 in first half and ended up 6-10.
