Under 4 minutes to go and the Hurricanes bus driver is warming up the bus. Got to give the defense effort the thumbs up today as Miami is having big problems putting the ball in the net
No question in my mind Coach Williams using his bench in the first half was a major factor as Miami looked dead tired in the last ten minutes while a fresher Carolina team just put on the gas and kept coming and coming.
Miami clearly ran out of gas... Roy with the subs in the first half thinking long term today AND for the rest of the tourney

Didn't see the game, but looked like Heels owned the second half. Nice balanced scoring with almost all starters in double figures and good contributions from Maye, Bradley, etc.
Nice to have the aggressive assertive Hicks back, second game in a row. His stat line including 9-9 FTs is impressive!

I'm all for using the subs, Theo had 3 and Joel had 2 fouls. But with Nate also on the bench, a TO and some set plays would have probably have meant a double digit lead at the half.
Is it me or is Roy using more bench than I can ever remember. Typically by this deep in the season he has shortened his bench to 1 or 2 maybe 3 but our bench goes Nate, Seven, Luke, Brandon, Bradley pretty consistently. Not factoring minutes but shear playing time. We are going 10 deep.
Great win, and so glad we beat them badly today. Revenge, sweet indeed. Hicks stepping up, and as Roy said, healthy now, we are seeing the Isaiah Hicks we all know and love. Game Ball to Isaiah.

He HATES talking 'bout refs, but clearly heard him say to leatherface today something along the lines of "Hey, c'mon, Justin was fouled harder than that" when Meeks got called for a double team foul that would have given us a turnover off Miami. Now, did Meeks foul on the defensive pressure? Darn right he did. Absolutely he did. But so did Miami repeatedly, with very few calls.

Good point. The ACC tourney are just luxury games at this point, but no need to risk injury to our core 5. When Berry fell with 2 minutes left against Miami, Roy immediately subbed in Blue Steel.
