Man, our right before half plays always suck. Just one on one crap.
up 5 at half isn't great, but as good as they shot... at least we are up
Horrible shot by berry to end the half .. I absolutely can't stand jump shots one foot inside the arc ... Better bring it for the 2nd half or were going home
Roy's halftime pep-talk better get these guys even more pumped.
Love that Brice is killing it but Roy still points out that he's settling for jump shots haha. Think the boys come out second half and play really well. Nt. Dame's shooting won't hold up.

Any lead is encouraging with the way they shot. The good thing is, our shots are coming from the paint and theres are from outside. The team that gets the easier shots usually wins
55 possession pace right now. Obscenely slow. Only way we get that pace to get faster is if we stretch this lead out to double digits and force ND to have to catch up.

We have to do a better job defending the ball screen. Giving up too much space on the switch. We did a much better job against IU as we allowed them to take 2's contested by our bigs vs open 3's. Notre dame is different as they have less size/more shooters but nonetheless they have to hit 3's to beat us and they are doing that.
For once I agree with Barkley... ND is working way too hard to score. No way they can keep it up
ND is a second half team. Their shooting likely won't cool down much - usually it gets better. But when running the burn you can't leave empty possessions. That is happening. Unless that changes UNC will be fine as ND's defense isn't that great. Auguste on the bench most of the first half and ND staying in it was big for them.
It's not energy it's empty possessions. No way you can compete will UNC running burn unless you play elite defense and have quality possessions on offense. I expect Brey to make an adjustment to have them attack quicker.
We have to get some stops. I think Adam Lucas tweeted 26-of-27 possessions for ND lasted until the shot clock was at 10. 20 of them went 5 and less. ND isn't going to change that unless we extend this lead and force them to play catch up.
I totally saw that on the replay for the one shot Brice missed that they called good defense. Brices arm whacked on the way up, then elbow hit on the release. No way a guy ever makes a shot with that, and it is a foul EVERY TIME. Except tonight I guess.
Key for us to us to be efficient on offense and get good looks. We must also do a better job in contesting shots on D and continue to rebound every miss. If we do both those things we can extend the lead and force ND to speed up their pace of play in order to stay in it. Come on Heels!
