Carolina played UVa's game all night and this is usually the result when you play UVa style ball.
Time to forget about this one. Go home, get a good nights rest and hit the practice court the next few days to get ready for what will be a tough home game. Tonight we were tired and not focused. Add the most bias zebra calling I have seen in a long time and a L is all you get. Roy will get them ready. I am confident about that. The season has not even begun yet in my opinion.
There's no way around it. We were awful tonight. Isaiah Hicks has absolutely sucked for a while now. Biggest liability we have playing big minutes which I thought I'd never say this year.
terrible performance by the team. Too many sloppy passes, turnovers, poor shooting ...just dumb .THat as well as pathetic, awful and ridiculous officiating .Evidently the zebras felt it was ok for UVA to play football while we played basketball
It wasn't the refs.
This was going to be the game where we proved we could beat good teams on the road. Because after Saturday, that's what we need to be able to do.

We just played an away game 48 hours prior. We beat Pitt like a drum. UVA was more committed to win tonight than any game they've played this year. At home, after being humiliated in Chapel Hill, senior night? They played a perfect game, exactly to their blueprint.
I had this game as a loss 9 days ago.
I do think it might give a slight indication that this team is not a Final Four team. Hicks has just disappeared. Losing Kenny Williams is hurting a FF run. We'll see.
Don't think Kenny is the make or break in a final four run. The disappearance and continued shitty play of Hicks will make it tough to make it out of the sweet 16.
I dunno... losing a starter isn't as easy to fix this late. I would argue that Theo was ready to be a starter anyway.
I agree about Hicks. He's totally lost.
I agree. I think Kenny williams ability to give us decent minutes defensively is a plus however I think Theo was going to get those minutes down the stretch any ways. Hicks is killing us. Even as we've won some big games lately, he's been a liability and a non factor which makes me even more mad. Think how good we could be if he gives us anything. Very let down by his play. Lost is probably the best way to put it. Just mind boggling for a senior starter to look this terrible for nearly a month this late in the year.
For whatever reason, Roy's teams always seem to look like they will limp into the post season and then it is like someone flips a switch and they "get it".
Without question, this was the perfect storm for a loss. 48 hours after beating Pitt on the road, Senior night, they were butt hurt from the spanking 9 days ago and they are a good team. Many predicted them to be in the hunt to win the ACC and up until their late season skid, they were right there in the mix.
I think we beat dook Saturday and it could be a pretty good beat down depending on a few things. If Stankyleg McWiplashand Jefferson are out or limited, we could beat them pretty good. If we play defense like we did against UVa and Pitt, we could beat them pretty good.
But, this is dook and k will have them ready to play either way. No matter who is on the court or which team seems to better on paper, it likely won't be a blowout. I could be, but I doubt it.

Got to be tough for Hicks to figure it out. Especially tonight. He is getting "bodied"up on shots and they are apparently "letting them play" on one end and then calling touch fouls in the paint on the other. I got to hand it to Roy. He is all class. If that guy in derm had been getting or not getting calls like Hicks and the Heels were experiencing tonight he would have been cursing a blue streak and had at least one technical and "Tripper" would have leg whipped someone. Did you see Roy after that last bs call on Hicks? Hicks was upset and I could tell Roy was not happy but he got Hicks off the court without incident and said very little to the refs.
What was it with not setting screens - hard screens - to get Jackson and Berry free for their shots. Everybody looked like they were sleep walking. Strange response by this team. Maybe they were reading their press praising them as the next national champion and forgot to play!
