We are shooting like garbage..... but I have to say, the officials are letting VT get away with a massive amount of contact with no foul calls, to help keep them in this.
47-43 with 16 minutes to go. Paige might be hurt because Britt came in very early. Hicks also came in early for Meeks.
I understand Roy hates timeouts but it is ignorant not to use one in the first half knowing you're gonna lose it if you don't use it. No excuse not to call the timeout while watching a 20 point lead evaporate.
Berry now had the Paige thing as he has now missed three wide open threes. 51-47 as Hicks and Johnson both have three fouls
Why Pinson is getting so much PT over Jackson is another head scratcher. Pinson does bring some energy to the game but he does not show much offense. 53-47
Paige a great steal leads to a short jumper by Britt 57-49. Paige might not be scoring but he has 4 sweet assists that have lead to baskets for his teammates. UNC has 34 points in the paint so they should continue to pound it in there.
VT takes the lead but another brilliant pass to Johnson who scores ties the game. Thank goodness VT is just a average ft shooting team because all of their misses have kept UNC in the game.
We are playing terrible. Nobody can throw it in the ocean. Even from point blank range. But that 6 point trip was bogus. We have to decide whether to feel sorry for ourselves, or whether to play PO'd and want it more and take from this team
what a horrible sweater buzz is wearing...but it looks good on him, though.
Also, for some reason we can't get a stop to save our lives in the second half. This average VT team is shooting 60+% in second half
Under 4 to go and UNC still up 68-66. VT guards going hard to the glass and either score or get fouled. No UNC guard has gone to the net all game
