Va goes down to

Furman's coach said he was screaming for his team to foul. Bet he's glad they couldn't hear him.

A style that's very conducive to letting lesser teams hang around a bite you. One of the great things about Roy's system is it minimized the risk of losing less talented mid-majors.

Half of March Madness is about surviving the first weekend.

Pathetic response, Amy. You should take up @notashelbyfan's advice and try harder. I've heard catholic school children with better retorts than you. You're as much of a disgrace to Chapelle as you are to UNC Basketball for wanting to duck the NIT.
We are about 3 post from hearing "I know you are but what am i" from old Dave. Maybe he should slide on over to OOTB and learn a thing or 2 also!

While Rose can be pretty abrasive in a manner I don't really care for i have been in several discussions with Rose and have found him, I assume him but could be her, never asked for the pronouns, I have just taken him as a glass half empty guy, OK, he is not by himself in that respect. Frankly, I have always assumed that roseheel was a play on the town of Rose Hill and I love that part of the country, didn't love the smell at times, but I have relatives all thru that area. LOL

Chapell on the other hand, not a secret, have no respect for him, don't trust him to be what he claims. He said some things early, really before season began that I called BS on. Sorry, but you want to try to convince me that UNC was considering Tyler Nickel a 2 guard, I am gonna call BULL on that every time. Just as I know for absolute certain that if you are getting info fed to you direct from the UNC bench, as Chapell claims, you DO NOT SHARE 95% of it. But this guy blabs, no, it just does not work that way. I, not now but at one time actually did have a source on the UNC bench, an assistant coach, 95% of what he told me came with strict order to not talk about it publicly and what info was allowed to be shared it could NEVER be attributed to coming from anyone on or around staff members. And frankly, I would have never said anything publicly that could have been traced back to him, I did not want the be a cause of my friend losing his job that he loved. And now we even have a thread up titled "it may cost my friend his job"? I could NEVER respect someone that would do that, never!

I am, indeed, 100% male. Despite FlaTarHeel's insistence on trying to label me as a trans woman for some strange reason. No judgement of course lol.

And believe me your opinion on Rose Hill is shared by me and many other residents of Duplin County growing up. Those hog farms can be overwhleming if you didn't grow in the region.

And the fricking chicken farms, man you can smell that for miles! LOL Oh the old days of visiting grandma in Beulaville, I loved grandma Whaley! I used to LOVE that pork plant in Rose Hill, my mom would go there twice a year and load up on pork, they had the BEST liver puddin you have ever tasted! If you don't already know about Liver Puddin, you ain't from the south it is kind of like asking what a grit is! LOL

Yeah, every time I have seen you say something that maybe I didn't care for, I just went back in time and recalled the many days of my youth and my times in Duplin county. You may be able to appreciate this Rose, I spent many a friday night in Richlands doing the swoop between the Piggly Wiggly parking lot and the Toot & Tell It, lot of stuff went down there I would have NEVER have told momma about! LOL

Strange coincidence, my mother lives close to that area. Visit her from time to time when traveling on business around the country. You are correct on the smell from the hog farms, chicken and turkey houses. But she loves it there, and has never left. Have a strong likeness for liver pudding as well with grits.

My grandma was a Brinson before she married a preacher named Whaley. Her house was just as you got in to town limits (coming from JVille), like the 3rd or 4th house on the left, just a short stroll from what used to be Whaley's grocery store, maybe was a IGA? WE used to sit on grandma's huge front porch in the swing and just watch the cars drive by, at the time that was all there was to do! LOL

Cool. That’s where my wife’s family is from. They were smiths and Houston’s.

Many years ago I worked a summer job for the road construction company that widened Main Street going through Beulaville, and I was there every weekday for most of that summer before I went off to school.

It looked odd to me. I wondered why tiny Beulaville needed those extra lanes when lightly-travelled 24 only had two, and it was years before I found out.

The Beulaville girls looked good, and they were very friendly. I like Beulaville, and fond memories come back on those rare occasions that I pass through again. Of course, they are from before the pervasive Duplin Co. stench developed, lol.

Virginia... nice! LOL and SMH

Beginning to wonder if any ACC team wins more than two games in this tourney or NIT. Most will be one and done. ACC super weak. Surprised how far some "experts" have Duke picked (Final Four, champ even). Wait til they have to meet legit conference teams like Big 10, Big 12, SEC.

Did I mention that ACC is WEAK?
It pains me to mention but dook has been playing pretty good ball lately, add in the possibility of an upset to get a break on the bracket, and they could make a push. I don't think they make the ff, but worse dook teams have won it all.

Yes it will be interesting to see how they do against Tennessee. While Tennessee is good defensively and has good athleticism , they seem pretty undisciplined on offense. Tennessee didn’t look great in their win yesterday

I said the same thing somewhere. Almost as much as I hate missing the tournament, I hate even more that dook might go deep. It depends on what they let Filipowski get away with.

I hope Hubert watched that game. Things turned when Furman went to an aggressive zone defense. Virginia had a tough time adjusting to it and that's when the whole game turned. When Hubert was hired he said he would run multiple defenses like Dean did, and I have yet to see that happen. It's okay to go zone sometimes to keep guards from penetrating your defense. He at least should've done it more this year to rest his team if he wasn't going to use the bench.

It's still Whaley's grocery store on that and. Jackson's IGA on the other end of town. When was your last visit to this neck of the woods?
