...is hard, even for a self-confessed college basketball junkie like myself. Often more like watching bumper cars at the county fair than the beautiful game I grew up loving. Some might call it "gritty" or "tough"... ok fair enough, but mostly it's just ugly.

Watching OSU-MSU right now. I've said that I think Izzo has the strongest team out there right now, but it still ain't aesthetic to watch. BTW: Not gonna jinx the outcome but OSU has a great game-plan for them. We shall see as to the final result.......

...annnd it's done. MSU becomes 9th ranked team to lose this weekend. #parity

So MSU crushes us, we solidly beat OSU, OSU crushes MSU.

Huh.
Yep.

Credit OSU with a solid game-plan. They cut off MSU's paint attack by doubling across (not down), managed to keep them off the offensive glass, were patient with the ball to get good looks, and well, made shots.

I felt this way coming into conference play and this week just further solidified it, there’s no one team that is clearly the clear favorite or a fully complete team at this point. Like you said Gary, I thought MSU had the best overall package compared to any other team I saw, but you can see that taking them out of their attack in the paint especially Ward who has been great for them, really did hurt them today and Ohio State was ready for this one, there run before half was big. Every top team is still working stuff out and trying to find the right combo for success.
This is why I believe that our Heels will be alright because Roy doesn’t just play for one game he is trying to develop his guys by building their confidence throughout the season in order to be at their best down the road and be completely ready come March. If we can iron out and sharpen some things now with our upperclassmen, this will help us in the long run as the freshman become more acclimated and comfortable with our system leading us to fit in well together come tourny time. I still think that having Joel who is going to be extremely motivated come March at the forefront with Kenny, Theo, Cam and Luke as experienced players will make us one tough out and a group that could definitely make a deep run in the tourny.

Big10 is unwatchable. UVA vs anybody is also unwatchable. It’s glorified football in tight quarters.
