Welcome back Joel Berry

Forgot about Theo. Being a Triad native, I gotta pull for him. I love his enthusiasm and his hustle, so I really hope he and Bradley both come back and make this another great year.

I have to think that with JB pulling out, that has to strengthen the chances Theo will be back as well. Kid just seems to love playing with these guys and I think they may be thinking a "repeat" could be in the works.

Yea that was me and I own it when I'm wrong. Although to be fair, I just "heard" he was likely gone. I fully admit my source is not as strong when it comes to UNC related stuff. I firmly believe Knox will be at Duke and if I'm wrong on that I'll come own it.

My source close to the team told me JB was coming back a month ago, but obviously things have changed in JB's life since then. The one thing I knew was that Joel wasn't telling anyone he was leaving. That's why I called BS on that pronouncement. All that noise was speculation or wishful thinking from outside.

As for Knox, you may end up being right. You may not. Only reliable source I have on that says there are some factors at work against us (that's the one part I'm sure of), but we're not out of it yet. I've never been optimistic on this one so I'll just hope to be pleasantly surprised... and there's another poster here who knows way more about that one than I do who I believe feels the same way.

Billy...gary, you're both good posters here but if you guys plan on derailing/hijacking every thread, especially these positive ones, just put each other on ignore. You guys are killing the atmosphere, during what has been a pretty great period to be a Heel.

Yea, there was talk he was likely gone but I think that's bc you guys won it all. Over the past few days it became clear that Berry was coming back. FWIW, I'm not some self proclaimed "insider" or anything. Just get some info on the Duke side. Turns out he was wrong on Berry.

I also know that the dude on here that you guys listen to (ibleedtarheelblue) or whatever his name is said that you guys will get Berry and Bradley back and that you guys would get Knox. I say Duke lands Knox, so we will have to wait and see who's right on that one. I also think Bradley is gone, but not as confident in that as I am Knox. Again, I don't take this message board stuff too seriously and I get my stuff from someone else and he's right more than he's wrong. So if the info is wrong I'll admit it....I've been wrong lots before and don't have any problem admitting it. I just share what I've heard bc I enjoy being a part of the discussion.

I agree... but that being said, I didn't start this, nor am I in the habit of derailing threads --- in fact I often have to try to restore order in them.
 
Billy you're a good guy but you're ruining it for the rest of the posters by picking fights with Gary. JMO, you guys are free not to like each other but it's infringing on everyone else.

That's not whom I'm referencing, but there are lots of reasons to think TB doesn't return, and as I said, we may be bringing a proverbial knife to a gunfight down there over Knox, but lessee what JB coming back does.

Hahaha no one is saying it isn't entertaining but this is a Joel Berry returning thread, supposed to be celebrating that fact. If they want to argue in the recruiting threads about sources and all that I think it's a more apt place than a welcome back thread.

Will be interesting to see if Berry coming back changes anything with Knox. I'll check and see what the Duke side thinks.

Hell if Knox waited this long he should wait to see what JB did and where Duval goes. Delaying for those reasons would make sense to me. Delaying to add Mizzu...ehhhh.

Joel Berry never intended to leave but just to test the water and get evaluated before going as a Senior. Knox, who wants to play with Berry, starts balking at going to UNC because Berry is in the draft process and may not return. Says he will not come without Berry.

Berry knowing he is going to come back regardless and needs Knox as a playmaker with him gets wind of this and then withdraws to alleviate that concern for Knox prior to his announcement.

Thats a good theory. Kind of like where Frank Jackson was coming back to Dook. Knox said the 2/3 spot was too crowded & then all of a sudden Jackson is in the draft.
That's why Dook got that huge boost of confidence the last few days.
Looks like ol Roy has a few tricks up his sleeve also.

He was never leaning 'heavily' toward leaving. Roy told him that, based on intel, he was an early 2nd rounder at best and advised him to enter the draft w/o an Agent to get more info. JB went back and forth about it for over a week and then decided to do it but realized that his heart was not in it and would rather stay in CH and work on his game over the next 6 weeks instead of dealing with the NBA paperwork and pre-draft junk. I was told that JB basically picked on Theo and twisted his arm to the point where he would also do the draft-with-no-Agent deal as well ... but that neither of them have seriously considered skipping their senior season.
