I've already explained it to you, but I'll do it again. The avatar is making fun of one of the dumbest arguments I have ever seen on this site. We had posters trying to compare Luke to some all time great UNC players and posters trying to say he was some scrub that shouldn't even play D1 ball. Both sides are equally stupid. In reality, Luke is a very good role player who gives us great minutes. He's not going to blow you away with his numbers, but he doesn't make a lot of mistakes. He is the type of player that every team needs and wants.

NOBODY compared him to our greats. It was mentioned he had some areas LIKE Tyler and you guys went ballistic. Glad you have decided he is worth keeping. Your avatar still stinks.

I know we hate them, but I've talked to AAU coaches, college coaches, players etc about shit like this because I find it super interesting and none of them have said anything about Duke being dirty. Most common answer for both us and them "they don't need to".

Yes, it is certainly true dook has a lot of advantages --- some the same as ours as to brand and profile --- plus some that aren't illegal but should be reined in (USABasketball).

That being said, while I can''t speak for folks up there, Capel's stench is pretty well known down here in my neck o' the woods, as it is down @FlaTarHeel 's way. And even before Capel, while dook is certainly not an institutional cheat-a-torium like uk, they have had their own ways of subtly pulling off some shenanigans to pull/keep kids in (William Avery and Elton Brand come to mind) that are somewhat easier to cover in a private school.

I think the other point that @FlaTarHeel was making is that they have gotten more aggressive with it (sloppier, I hope?) since Capel's hiring. Your point and experience are well-taken though, because, hell, it's only recently that most of the guys in my little circle of coaches (except for the most AAU-connected one, who had a personal taste of it) have come to see the seamier side of the Rat Empire.

Might wanna let your friend know that Seton Hall is not a top school in basketball.

EDIT: I didn't mean that to come across as condescending if it did Dadika. I was just surprised to see on your buddy's list 36 national titles and a gazillion Final Fours and then...Seton Hall- who has only made the NCAA tournament 10 times and hasn't made the Final Four since 1989.

I have a friend who is an assistant at a mid level school...they talk often about who they think is clean vs. dirty. They say UNC, Duke, Nova, UCLA are the top clean ones while UK, KU, Zona, and Seton Hall are the dirtiest.

Come on man. I know he's a duke guy, but it's a little early to call him a flop. He hasn't even played two full years. His biggest issues are off the court, not on it.

Nope, his biggest issues are on the court. He doesn't play a lick of defense, and doesn't go after rebounds. No one would give up a first in a loaded draft for him this year, otherwise Philly would have happily sent him packing. Ask a 76ers fan about Okafors defense and attitude.
