The entire country is going to need some of that salve, Jim . . we have 3 1/2 more painful years in front of us, but, as our country goes down, at least Captain Underpants will get rich on his B-H Salve sales.
Russia has never been closer to the White House . . might wanna save some of that salve for prison, Donny.

That's true. I'm sure he's just getting the hang of it and will be doing a stellar job any minute now. He's already sending more troops to Afghanistan. I'm sure that will pay off well.I'm confused as to why people think he has to accomplish everything in a few months or he is a complete failure. Last I checked presidents are in office for 4 years. I haven't been that excited with any president that I can remember, but I definitely gave them more than a few months to accomplish something meaningful. I'll agree that Trump has been pretty bad so far, but I just don't think it's realistic to judge a president after six months.
I'm more referring to people who are saying he has done a horrible job because he hasn't built the wall, passed healthcare reform and overhauled the tax code in six months. That's just a stupid expectation and no president has accomplished something like that in six months. Forgive me for having realistic expectations. That's true. That was pretty thorough, William. No mention of his son in law, however. And, a press secretary that has delivered some of the best PC's in history.
He said he knew more about strategy and terrorism than the generals did.
Then he green-lighted a disastrous raid in Yemen, even though his generals said it would be a terrible idea. This raid resulted in the deaths of a Navy SEAL, an 8-year-old American girl and numerous civilians. The actual target of the raid escaped, and no useful intel was gained.
Trump won't be re-elected with a 35% approval rating, because he's already lost a small portion of his base IMO . .
The wall won't be built, Mexico ain't gonna pay, the ACA isn't going to be replaced. I will give him credit for shutting down the TPP. I don't have any expectations.I'm more referring to people who are saying he has done a horrible job because he hasn't built the wall, passed healthcare reform and overhauled the tax code in six months. The other problem with those numbers is that it is being looked at from a national level. The question is what are the numbers at the state level since it doesn't matter what the national level is? I haven't looked at the numbers, so they may be the same.Again, I maintain that people aren't truthful when asked about Trump and that what a poll might show is not a true reflection of people that support him.
AgreedThe wall won't be built, Mexico ain't gonna pay
I think it might happen, but it's a long shot. I think a more likely outcome will be that changes are made to it instead of a complete overhaul.the ACA isn't going to be replaced
If you are saying he has already been a bust, then you have to have some type of expectations. I'm a little surprised that you have been so dismissive of him already. He is the best chance you have at seeing your hope of the establishment going away. If Trump does a good job, then future third party candidates have a fighting chance. If he fails, you will never see anything but establishment candidates being elected. You should be one of his biggest supporters in that sense.I don't have any expectations.
Not going to get in the middle of the poli-smack, but with this you stepped off into a situation that I have direct knowledge of. Obama green-lit this mission and it was a go before Trump took office. The mission-specific training was in full swing when he took the OoO and I seriously doubt he had any input into the mission at all other than being told it was happening and why.
Could he have stopped it? Of course. But with the time and resources that had already been committed to the operation I imagine he just let it ride and relied on the intel available. It was Obama's team that devised and executed the plan, not Trumps.
Obama got into Trump's head many years ago, and that thin-skinned narcissistic maniac has been obsessed with reversing every item he can. He's been nothing more than a 'Spite' President.
It's not that rare. Going back to Truman, six presidents have left office with an approval rating above 50%. Eisenhower, Ford, Reagan, HW Bush, Clinton and Obama. Johnson was close at 49%.Obama left office while enjoying lofty approval ratings . . that in itself a rarity for a man in the WH for 8 years.

Correct, but I think that stat is an even greater accomplishment. These are guys who were voted out of office, but still did a good enough job in the eyes of the public to have high approval ratings. I was kind of surprised that HW was so high at 56%Thank-you for the link, I don't believe that Ford & Bush 43 were 8 year Presidents.
It may be a political Witch Hunt and if it is . . I'm okay with it.
I'm not really disagreeing with what you are saying, but I wanted to point out that republicans were using the exact same logic when asking for Hilary to be investigated for Benghazi, the Clinton Foundation and her emails. The democrats, just like the republicans now, were screaming that it was a witch hunt. Just another example of how polarized DC and the nation as a whole has become. It may be a political Witch Hunt and if it is . . I'm okay with it. There's way too much about our President's financial dealings that has yet to disclosed . . all of those dealings need to be looked at to insure he's not currently or will be compromised in the future.
Maybe, not OOJ, but, there's a very good possibility of collusion.
Let's just allow Mueller to take a good close look okay . . . it can't do any harm right . . ?
But honestly, I don't even care about Trump - whether he gets re-elected or not. His winning the election did what I needed done. Trump's election reversed the course of the country. His rhetoric has been effective in regards to immigration. His rhetoric has restored some power to law enforcement. His rhetoric has undone some of the culture the Obama administration promoted. I'm content with that.
Agreed. The message that the pussification of America has to stop was sent with the Trump election - now whether or not it will fully stop is another matter, but at least we've stopped the bleeding on it. Trump's presidency may well crash and burn, but at least his job is done on that front.
I think whether Trump's supporters (or at least voters) bail on him in 2020 depends on who the Dems prop up for a candidate. I think we've gotten what we needed out of Trump by sending the above message, and would rather not vote for him in 2020 - but if the Dems trot out Hillary 3.0, or even (lol) Michelle Obama, I'll have no choice but to again vote for the lesser of two evils. If they actually get some quality in there, maybe I'll have a decision to make. Maybe Trump won't want the headache and will decline running again too, so maybe someone decent will be on the Republican ticket as well if the Dems nominate one of the above two dopes.
I'm not sure I would agree with that. Still seems to be out of control to me. I'm not really sure what any president could do to stop that kind of mindset though. That's coming from the parents and school. You can't stop bad parenting or legislate speech in the classroom.Agreed. I'm very curious to see who the democrats nominate. I don't see a viable candidate for them right now. Obama kind of came out of nowhere, so maybe the same thing will happen again.I think whether Trump's supporters (or at least voters) bail on him in 2020 depends on who the Dems prop up for a candidate. I could definitely see this happening.Maybe Trump won't want the headache and will decline running again too
I honestly don't think he'll run again. That job sucks. I don't want it. I'm too busy trying to cover my little piece of Heaven and keep it afloat...screw worrying about everyone else. Y'all on your own.
Associated Press Poll???? hahahahahaha....C'mon man!!!!!!! That poll is not biased....said no one!!!!
Russia is just a bunch of blabber from the Dems and the media because they have nothing else to run with at the moment.
