Looks like just two extra years to an existing contract, and at the time discussions began after a mostly successful season last year, that probably made sense, punking by Bama in the tourney notwithstanding. Big donors always can vote with their wallets. I bet the buyout wouldn't be a lot more than what we'd have to pay a true top tier coach annually. Gonna be very interesting to see how we do in the portal and for 2026 class.
