The obvious choices seem to be:

1. Nobody - he plays nearly all the minutes.

2. Theo - the obvious choice in terms of size and ability.

3. BRob - but is he too scrawny to handle it?

4. Luke - is he quick enough?

My concern with pegging Theo to back up Justin is that I think Theo needs to focus on doing one job, not be SG sometimes, SF sometimes, and even PF or PG sometimes. Because that's what he did last year and, frankly, I don't think that's helping him become a better player. For all his athleticism and potential, there were too many times last year when he seemed lost - not sure what he was supposed to be doing. Yes, he is developing into a fine jack of all trades, but I think he needs to become a master of one at some point. With Justin here, that position isn't SF - even though that's what he may need to be next year. So it probably ought to be SG.

If I'm Roy, I probably want to give Theo every chance to start and play 30 minutes at SG. Only if Theo can't do well at SG should he be relegated to backing up Justin at SF and being a spark of the bench as utility player/6th man.

But that's just me. What do you guys think?

Pinson of course would be the first choice but if Robinson can hit the three as advertised he could easily be the backup.

Leaving out the freshmen, if Theo starts at the 2, and either Kenny or Nate is the first Wing off the bench, then Theo would slide to the 3. In other words any time Theo and Justin are in the game one of them will play the 3. If they are both out then Kenny will be the next option at the 3 (which he did a few times last season). If for some reason Theo comes off the bench really none of that changes.

I will be really surprised if Robinson gets more than spot minutes this season as he physically matures. 7th could very well get into the wing rotation playing some 2. But your rotation 3s will be JJ, Theo and sometimes KW.

Well clearly the guy that is Justin's back up at the wing is Theo, not sure that is even debatable? I think just as clearly had Justin not elected to come back that there would be little to no question that Theo would start at the wing. Yeah, BRob is IMO more of a wing than 2, Shea Rush in time will be a wing and a player. We could at times go small with 3 guards (maybe 7th at the wing for example) but I am not expecting a lot of that. I would have BRob as our 3rd wing for next season and we will need Theo to move between the 3 and the 4 a lot next season.

Theo slides into the 3 and KW/7th/ comes off the bench at the 2. B Rob gets mins when JJ and Theo both need a rest.
