Fair point.Love has not been good, takes bad shots when not needed, agreed. TS% is relative to shots asked to take though.
RJ in the Baylor near collapse is an example. He came out a house on fire, huge, great TS. After Caleb fouled out and Manek lost his cool, RJ was the guy left to get one up late. His TS suffered greatly for that game in that role, but he was key for us holding on doing it though.
The TS% for those seldom asked to create guys, is not a good stat to guage out of that role in my opinion.
No ball handler there.Let's go tall.
Leaky
Puff
T-Nick
Washington
Armando
with Pete and D'Marco first off the bench.
First, I absolutely agree that Nance has not been used properly, the best part of his game is mid range and in, he can step outside and hit the occasional trey but I do not want him doing that often. Why would I think Puff can handle the 4 better than Nance considering that nance has a strong length and weight advantage over Puff? Because Puff moves his feet, he isn't going to stand around and allow things to stagnate, Puff has a nose for the ball and will go get it as opposed to standing around and waiting for the ball to magically appear in his hands.I'm just not convinced of that. I think he's being badly used by our coaching staff.
That said, if they won't use him more effectively, then maybe you're right and someone else should get those minutes. But, let's face it, his replacements haven't exactly distinguished themselves either.
You replace him with Puff against Clemson? Why do you think Puff would succeed? I love his energy, but he's scoring 5 points less than Pete on a 100-possession basis. T-Nick might be better.
Leaky is actually. Was a dominant oak hill point guard before he kept growing too tall.No ball handler there.
Leaky never went to oak hillLeaky is actually. Was a dominant oak hill point guard before he kept growing too tall.
Concord high then montverde in Florida then to cox mill. Only know because I lived in concord at the time he was in high schoolCoulda swore he did as a freshman and averaged 10 assists per game. Apparently it wasn't oak hill.
