Zayden High Enrolled at UNC, but Won't Rejoin Team this Season

"He has access to the facilities but not when the Tar Heels are present."

If Hubert planned on having him on the team next season, you would think Hubert would want him participating in practice and learning the things needed to contribute to the '25-'26 Tar Heels.

But part of his suspension if from team activities. He can get better on his own, and if reinstated by summer schoo, he will have time to work with them.

Does not practicing with the team preserve his year of eligibility?

"The understanding is High will have three years of eligibility when he returns...." Maybe practicing with the team would use up eligibility?
He's redshirting this year. Redshirts are allowed to practice.

2025 recruiting....

I liked High and thought he showed potential. Potential that we might have benefited from this season.

OTOH, he also occasionally looked like the player who would win the "most likely to commit a flagrant foul" award. In other words, a bit overly aggressive, with a chip on his shoulder.

But I figured the coaching staff could harness that energy and I liked the strong motor he showed.

If he didn’t have a say in the first semester he might not in the second. Just because he’s returning to school doesn’t mean he’s “still Hubert’s” to worry about. And whatever it was may have been bad enough that he doesn’t need to be around the team. Some things are more important than basketball.
He got caught cheating. Went through the Honor Court. Was given the standard penalty for cheating, a 1 semester suspension from campus. If Hubert wanted to, Zayden absolutely could be practicing with the team right now.

A Complete Unknown

I saw Mellencamp, Dylan, and Willie Nelson at durham bulls athletic park in 2009. Part of a tour involving minor league baseball stadiums. These guys were late 50's, late 60's and late 70's, in that order. I'd never seen any of them live, they're not my typical jam but I generally enjoy all live music if the performer is good.
A chance to see these two old guys being icons, doing it outside, sitting in the outfield, i was excited.
Mellencamp was exactly what you'd expect. But Dylan was disappointing. I was trying to get into the songs, but he's just as bad singing live, if not worse (though you could blame being 68). What "ruined" Dylan in my eyes more was how entertaining Willie Nelson was despite being 76 - that guy's just got an awesome vibe, presence, persona, whatever, just an entertaining performer.

I saw them on that same tour at the Riverdogs ballpark in Charleston, SC. I can confirm that Bob was bad and Willie was good for that show. No Mellencamp for that though.

Aside from the actual performance, I thought it was a great venue for a show. More bands should do the minor league ballpark thing.
