Agreed. I didn't think the joke was all that funny. The joke itself certainly doesn't hold a candle to the comedy that the liberal meltdown reaction to it has brought.
Laughter at the expense of other people's misery. Hilarious.

It's what I imagine needing viagra must be like. If that's what's required to get hard, the pleasure of fvcking has gotten really bad.

Quick stuff (JCS exhibition)...

Preachin' to the choir, D. But yeah, especially with this kind of depth, time to bring more defensive looks.
The 1 thing I DO NOT want to see us try EVER again is that switch all 5 nonsense, who ever thunk that up needs to go back on their meds! LOL Switch 4 & 5 fine, switch 1 & 2 fine, switch 2 & 3 even 3 & 4 at times but I hope I have seen my center 40ft from the basket trying to guard a 1 or a 2 guard for the LAST dang time! LOL, RJ LIVES to get a center 40' from the basket and act like he is going to guard him, it would be RJ playing with a yoyo LOL!

You miss him? He's still actively broadcasting.

The content of that piece was profound. If Koppel's delivery helps drive that home, that's fine. Being nostalgic over Koppel isn't the point.

Americans seem bent on just giving it away because they're bored and ignorant, I guess. Death by confirmation bias.
I didn't say being nostalgic was 'the' point. It was MY point, in MY post, that I miss Koppel and his fine journalism. I got the point of the video. What's wrong with you sometimes?

Where is Koppel broadcasting, if I may ask?

Bluetoe is really slow. Just trying to help him out on a very easy question. All he needs to do is replace 2 letters (FR) with a different one (L).

50/50 he figures it out.
my gawd dude, I'm actually embarrassed for you at this point. I've never seen anyone try to squirm his way out of looking like a complete dumbass as ineptly as you are attempting to do. I love the part where you try to cover for saying 'frost' instead of lost.

lol, I enjoy it the most when the board idiots like you out themselves as such and all we have to do is sit back and watch you flail away to no effect..

was that Ted Koppel? I really miss that guy. IMO the most neutral and trustworthy journalist when he was active in MSM. I don't know about now, I haven't seen him in many many years. I would sure love to see him around though.

It's entirely possible that the exaggeration required for something to be universally funny... was simply not achieved.

2025 recruiting....

Big Donors are the 1s that move the needle…Not your everyday fan that is willing to give 100 dollars…Problem is those same Big Donors have 27 other sports to help as well…UNC is not going to play this game…I just don’t see it….
I think it is very clear that UNC is just not doing a great job of fund raising for NIL. Our fan base tends to take a VERY conservative approach to fund raising, as if stuck in 1980? Look at comments on this board for example, we re all talking in terms of what things used to be rather than how things actually are now. This kid is not worth X amount of money so I am not gonna give my hard earned money to over pay for a kid? Truth is you (me as well) do not like the NIL deal to begin with, we wish it would go away but it will not.
Been on the board for 24yrs and this is your 40th post??? Yeah, seems legit.
OK, so like something is really strange there, the husker guy is a very familiar screen name, no way he has not posted far more than 40 times, I did see the screen name metric, has to be an error some how. If memory serves, I think he has posted far more on the football side. I don't recall him as posting in a uncalled for manner, thus his comment toward my buddy Archer struck me as VERY strange, just seems out of character for him?

Yeah, Gary, I want to see a bit more on the defensive end. Nothing drive me more bonkers is than to see opposing teams walk the ball up court on us, I am about putting game pressure on the opposing teams in every aspect, I want to force them to do what I want them to do rather than they be allowed to set the tone, throw the punch rather than take it and when you do make it a knock out blow.

I am not talking about a constant full court hard press but I do want my PG playing at least token pressure so their PG has to be concerned with a defender rather than thinking about the attack he wants to set up while he takes a casual Sunday afternoon stroll up court. I want that pressure to be like Seth's dribble, constant variation from token pressure to moderate (not risk a foul but increase the heat), to hard challenge of the inbound pass, to hard full court pressure with 3/4 traps set to funnel to the side line out of bounds, change it up. Throw the fast ball but throw the change up and the curve that make the fast ball look even faster. This speeds up the other team both physically and mentally and the body withers physically in he face of that kind of constant game pressure.

That kind of game pressure can neutralize the length advantage that teams like Kansas and duke will have on us and we all know what happens when the opposing team get physically and mentally worn down. They foul, they are not as quick to close out, they resort to more jumpers, they play their bench more than they want to, they are able to be beaten back down court (just to name a few).
