I sincerely hope the players and coaches do not give up as easily as our "fans"!
I expect them to figure it out and not waste time trying to place blame!
When we play with maximum effort, we compete with anyone! When we don't, we can lose to anyone! I think it will eventually click and we will see a run of some fun ball!
BTW: It would be a waste of your valuable time trying to convince me of anything less!
I actually agree that this team has upside and can play with any team on any given night. They have to play at their A level to do so but I think there’s a lot of variance with this team and that means on the right game they can give the best teams all that they can handle.
But I think what you get as their median game is a pretty inconsistent team that has glaring holes. If you want to say it’s effort dependent, that’s fine. I think it’s more shooting dependent. They can certainly lose to anyone if they aren’t shooting it well or playing hard enough.
And I do think things can get better. The game tape has a lot of minor lack of attention to detail that derails some things. A lot of that is fixable. Some of their issues are not though but I think they’ll be better than what they showed against Ga Tech.
But right now, it looks pretty bad. It looks like they have a limited number of opportunities for good quality wins too. So they’ll have to get some things shored up relatively quickly.
