Rivals 5-Star Camp: Looking ahead

The Rivals 5-Star Camp is back this year and is next week in Jacksonville, FL, at the Jaguars facilities. I will be there all three days, which includes the publisher's conference that Thursday. Lots of interesting stuff is coming to Rivals, and I will post more about it when I'm there.

But, the network is previewing the camp this week. Here are the running backs. And note that UNC has a legit shot at landing Jabree Coleman.

Big 12 mulls naming rights

The commercial sponsor would potentially take the name "Big" out of Big 12 and replace it with the sponsor's name. It could end up as one of the largest commercial deals in collegiate athletics history, not including media rights.

As the article notes, at least some Presidents will oppose that by instinct. And they could be right, considering how rapacious large corporations have become. Then again, that id what Disney/ESPN is: a globalist and quite rapacious corporation happy to oversee the gutting of the ACC.

The NCAA will allow commercial sponsor advertisements on football fields for regular-season games in all three divisions beginning this season, creating a new revenue stream for schools facing mounting costs in the changing college sports landscape.
