Discussion
A team headed in the wrong direction. The Heels welcomed the hapless Boston College Eagles and found themselves in a dog fight. I've harped on the offense's tendency to come down and jack up 3s without working for shots. Well, this game was the peak of that garbage. The Heels took 48% of their shots from 3. That's happened in only 28 of the last 977 games. Worse, they got 0.31 assists per field goal, a performance only worsted by 17 others in the last 977 games.
You want even worse than that? Boston College hit 0 3-point shots, becoming the first UNC opponent since 1990 to achieve this dubious honor. They were so bad, the Dallas Cowboys place kicker was laughing.
UNC did an outstanding job at rebounding, getting 11 more possessions than BC. The pace of this game was excruciating, with only 151 total possessions.
We have to get this offense moving!
