finally made it,,,,for my recent 70th birthday my son has gotten tickets for me and him in the Dean Smith Center. Been waiting on this for years as i have never attened a game in the Smith Center. We will be coming from the Tri Cities in NE Tenn. I need the best route from Winston to the SMith Center. BTW,,,the game is the Tech Heels game this saturday. thanks

Longo going to be OC at Wisconsin

According to my gut. Reading the tea leaves I think Mack has known about Longo leaving this year for a while. Harrell was Mack’s 2nd choice (Kingsburry 1st) when he was looking for an OC. While not a splashy hire, we could do a lot worse. We have a ton of talent and I believe Drake can run almost any system well. What’s more important is having a competent play caller and someone who is willing to work with the defense in practice.

I like Davis and Love but they are both combo guards. Carolina needs a point guard who can create and break down the opposing defenses.

The Tribe's HC is Mike London, who was HC of Richmond when the Spiders won the FCS/1AA Championship in 2008. Because he had been a successful DC at UVA and won a 1AA National Championship, London was expected to be a very good HC for UVA. But he floundered.

Now he is back among the best in 1AA. Just as some very good coordinators make poor HCs, some excellent 1AA HCs simply may not be good P5 HCs.

London was a very good DL coach before he was a DC. His like at UNC this past season would have made a big difference for that underachieving DL.

I know Carolina saw Ga Tech game tonight. This will be a very tough game. It could actually get out of hand fast. Every dribble, every pass, every assist, every block, shot, will be contested.

I hope they understand this? I hope you are scouting this team because they are actually hard to scout. Basically, like Carolina is now. You have a great opportunity to Grow. Ga Tech is going to challenge You and bring out all of your skills good or bad. They look similar to you however, Ga Tech is further ahead knowing who they are. 1-15 whatever it takes. The media is probably underestimating the ACC. at least as far as Carolina is concerned.

If you want to be Great, you do it in this conference. Now Hubert your motto will help them. Be the one looking for a fight. A fight to get better. you need each other. lean on one another. Embrace the hunger of your bench and encourage the ones who seem a step slow. Don't sit them put your arms around them and tell them you need them.

You know like Dean. The finger point acknowledgment. Be accountable, be strong, be ready to play and your coaches should play you.

The faithful want to see you grow. Now this is exciting.

I've worried about the chemistry issue. Same thing last year. Once Dawson left they changed. They buckled down and started playing defense.

This is probably a really stupid idea but if it is, I need someone to explain why.

Why not put Trimble and Leaky on their toughest players and play zone with the rest?

For one thing, I'm guessing that would let us use T-Nick more, which could help with scoring. It might also be good for Jalen Washington when he starts getting minutes.

I'm sure we wouldn't want to do it all game long - and probably couldn't since Trimble and Leaky won't always be on the floor together - and it might not be suitable against some foes, but it seems like something we should have in our arsenal.
