UNC Baseball Newcomers Ranked Among Nation's Best

UNC's 24 baseball newcomers ranks as the nation's No. 12 recruiting class, according to Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. Eight of the 14 prep student-athletes are North Carolina natives, including NCBCA 4A Player of the Year Luke Stevenson, NCBCA 2A Pitcher of the Year Folger Boaz and a host of all-state pitchers. UNC's class was ranked No. 1 in the ACC. (GoHeels.com)

Schematically are we any different from last yr?

It feels like our DBs are playing a tiny bit close to the ball, sometimes, compared to last yr. I haven't really paid attention to whether we see more stunts from the DL, though I have noticed some twists (Beau and the nearby DT for example vs GT).

Our base obviously hasn't changed. Versus Miami played a bunch more 3-DL front, dropping everyone else into coverage, I think this typical personnel though.

Any D gurus who can spot big wrinkles for better or worse?
