2023%20NCAA%20Tournament%20Field.jpg

Above is a scatter plot comparing the offensive and defensive efficiencies of each team in the tournament field. In parentheses are the Ken Pomeroy Strength of Schedule rankings. The green zone is the area where teams exceed Dean Smith's goals of both offensive efficiency, while the pink zone is where teams meet neither goal. Up is better offense, Left is better defense, so the upper left corner is where teams want to be.

Wilcher championship game...but real gem on the opposing team.

watched the Wilchers championship game from 2 weeks ago. I hope I am wrong...he looks like a mix between love and RJ. Dribbles too much and makes some dumb plays. With that being said...He is a good defender and his jump shot is better. This wasnt close to his finest game. Lots of TO in first half. Missed wide open dunk off a good steal. Minutes later he stole it again....and flushed it down with power. The thing I took away was his defense. Really good BB IQ. In the right place to make plays on defense. Had some decent passes. The biggest thing I took away from this was Matt Hodges from the opposing team. Looked like a caged wolf. He was kind of on an island as he was really the only option for the other team. 6-8+. Good handle, great jumpshot and most importantly a nasty dunk on dook commit Mgbako at the 5:55 min mark in video. Dude is a quality ball player and one I wouldnt mind seeing in Carolina blue. He even fits the profile...he has a younger brother that can come play for us in a couple years.
