Sam Howell thankful for opportunity to be Commanders' backup QB

Gamedays are going to look a little different for rookie Sam Howell for the next month, starting with the Washington Commanders' Week 7 game against the Packers. For the first time in his NFL career, Howell is going to be in uniform on Sunday, as he was named the backup behind Taylor Heinicke. However, Howell doesn't plan to change his approach. Nervous of the injuries

We had Hood go out and taylor go out and not return to the game and there was another starter that got hurt. Hood shoulder/coller bone area and Taylor’s knee from TV both didn’t look good. Then announcers said they where out for rest of game not a good feeling in pit of my stomach. Taylor went straight down on a bull rush and was grabbing knee before he hit the ground. Hood was in a lot of pain and the trainer had her hand under shoulder pads in coller bone/shoulder area and he was in a lot of pain. Can’t remember the third one who went out but he didn’t return either Little nervous of these injuries and for these kids

UNC Football is 7-1

We did not have to “Just Win” this one. The first half had us a little nervous because it had all of the feelings of another anxious nail biter. Then my buddy reminded me of how we are a second half team and boom. We punched Pitt in the nose and never let up.

It’s been a while since we’ve walked back to Craige Deck after beating a quality team with authority. The mood definitely is a little different when you feel the progression. The program continues to grow and develop into what we all have been wanting for a very long time. The depth chart was so thin causing us to have many holes where the play just wasn’t good enough to win games. It’s now coming around and should only get better. It’s starting to feel like we may have a chance to knock the monkey off our back.

Go Heels!!!!

Award Watch List

Nominations for the position award watch list is very interesting but they have snubbed, imo the best player on our team. Of course it doesn’t mean a lot at the moment. Bob Cousy: Caleb Love, Jerry West: no one, Dr J: Leaky Black (love that they recognized him), Karl Malone: Pete Nance and Kareem: Bacot I’m sure. Of course we know that it should have been RJ in the Bob Cousy list and Caleb in the Jerry West nominations. Interesting and impressive that our starting five all could and arguably should have been on each of the five lists. Maybe RJ can and will use this as extra motivation to go along with Roach being selected to the preseason all ACC first team instead of him.
