Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to have Bumgarner and we have the capital to make that deal, I’m just not getting my hopes up just yet.
I’ve noticed brother, but you’re still alright in my book.
What's to not get your hopes up on? The Yankees have mega money and prospects galore. If they don't get Bumgarner, they will get Hamels, or Jose Ureña, or Wacha, or any number of stud pitchers playing for bad teams. I don't think y'all want any part of Archer, but that's just my opinion.
Positive comment: Minter looked like a beast in that inning. We need more of that from him. I still hope he's our eventual closer.
Just got home, turned the game on and immediately saw Freddie completely flail at a pitch 5 feet off the plate. Must be that kind of day.

Same. Looks like a fringe MLB starter. Journeyman type who teams sign late in the winter because they have no other option to fill a need.
I know the schedule has been tough, but through their past 22, the Braves are a .500 ball club (literally). That includes taking 3 of 4 from the Nats.
We need a jolt, but other than Acuña coming back, I don't know where the hell it comes from. What I do know is we need Camargo OUT of this lineup. It's bad enough our lineup has to absorb Dansby and Culberson (who's actually kinda hitting right now), but the addition of Camargo makes it so that four of our nine spots in the order are black holes.
And our pitching situation is teetering on the brink of disaster right now. Julio on the DL and I think it's just because he's done. Folty's and Newcomb's peripherals both scream that they are due some regression; and McCarthy is always on the brink of an injury. Soroka isn't back yet and isn't a sure thing since he's a kid, and Gohara has looked like trash pretty much every time he's been out there.
