Hey Roy, when you have a minute could you please give Greg Brown a call? He's lonely and hasn't heard from you in a while.
Thanks,
Greenie

Hmm, not sure. There was no realistic future where we landed 3 top 10 players, at least in my eyes. We have 5 scholarship openings for sure next year, potentially 6 or 7 depending on draft declarations and transfers. We simply need some long term players; can't be an entire roster of one-and-dones plus grad transfers. I think the staff just wants to collect more info on the long-term guys before offering; hard to tell which to go after when they're young.Means we think we are striking out at the top of the rankings.
There’s that OV. How real do we think it is now?
This will actually be his 2nd OV to UNC. First visit was last years LNWR (unofficial). Then he took an OV for the Duke game, now another OV. I think it's safe to say we have a very good shot at him?
I think I read this is the first time a recruit has ever taken a 2nd OV to Chapel Hill??This will actually be his 2nd OV to UNC. First visit was last years LNWR (unofficial). Then he took an OV for the Duke game, now another OV. I think it's safe to say we have a very good shot at him?
Wasn't even allowed before last year (they just started letting juniors take official visits), so not quite as impressive as it sounds but still a good sign.I think I read this is the first time a recruit has ever taken a 2nd OV to Chapel Hill??
Yes, we certainly need to land those two. It will be interesting with Love to see what happens. Nobody has recruited him harder and longer than Missouri. Does he stay in-state or leave for UNC? Also, UL is right there with him too.Definitely.
However, given all that attention, if he leaves that weekend without giving one of those famed “silent verbals,” it would be concerning.
We need Williams and Love. Roy has put in too much work with their families to be spurned. That would be a 5-star PG, wing and big. Anything after that in this class is gravy.
I’d love to be wrong, but how many times has a family member been hired to land a top recruit and said recruit committed elsewhere? I honestly cannot think of any but I suppose there could be a couple examples.
Cade and Ziaire played together in AAU also.I was lurking on the comments section of Evan Daniels IG and he seems to think we’re in good shape for Cade.... and speaking of the guys talking about playing together, Cade and Bryce Thompson have mentioned it. Each has OSU and UNC on their list....
Cade and Day'ron Sharpe also play together at Montverde.Cade and Ziaire played together in AAU also.
They both played in the Nike Eybl league but on seperate teams. William's for the Oakland Soldiers and Cunningham for the Texas Titans.Cade and Ziaire played together in AAU also.
Was his brother actually on staff? And with how well Ky pays, I can see how that could happen. I actually read somewhere that Monk’s brother advised him to go to uk because it was the best business decision for his career.Malik Monk- Kentucky. There are a few other examples.

Todd currently on campus w Mando as chaperone. He’s been here a lot lately... Chance we land him?

Nah, unofficialOV? so we have Todd, Love and Kessler on campus?
Are we on Caleb Love commitment watch?
We’re on someone’s...Can't see how Todd comes here now. Don't really care too much at this point! #walker

Dean Smith?! I know what you meant. Lol. I just had to throw that out thereImagine if the greatest coach of all-time spends the last decade-and-a-half of his career without any first place conference finishes.
I am curious, so Roy was down to see Day'Ron and Cade at Montverde Thursday, Walker and Caleb visit this past week-end. Super recruiter and chaperone Armando gets quality time with Caleb.
Anyone feel like Roy may have mentioned to Cade that either he or Caleb would be his next pg.
Just a hunch but one of the two could be next and a Ziaire or Bryce by November?
All over our own board, Twitter, and TOS there are hints that someone else is committing very soon and may have already given the staff the verbal.
I'd guess Caleb and that he wants to wait to let Walker get his time to shine here then will announce later in the week. They could have also gotten word that someone attending LNWR is planning to commit. It could ALSO be Todd from this weekend.
Exciting stuff!
