2020 recruiting thread

Sallis can play the 3/4.
Puff can play the 2/3
Ingram can play the 3/4
Leaky will be a Senior

Roy loves to play a bunch of players and would excel with a interchangeable lineup with those group of guys.

I believe Sallis is more of a combo guard, possibly recruiting him as a PG. I see Puff as more of a 3/4 at this point. Ideally, Roy likes to have two ball handlers on the floor at the same time. Puff will need to get stronger, but he certainly has the length to mix it up down low a bit.

Meant Styles can play the 3/4, not Sallis. Sallis can play the 1/2.

Puff is an exciting prospect. Can play the 3/4 but could possibly play some 2 down the road in a big lineup if he can work on his handling. He's got a little Justin Jackson in him right now with his ability to shoot and hit the floater.

It's all for NBA purposes. Mark Williams has a more obvious NBA position as a relatively mobile, defensive big. Dayron and Kessler are more offensively minded post players (somewhat a dying breed in the pros). But perfect for us :)

As to Sharp and Kessler I read there was a slight devaluing of bigs by the NBA.
And they also seem to want decent sized guards that can get to the rim.
Williams?

Just like Kessler, Caleb Loves RJ's work ethic. He has made a comittment to stay Sharpe in the off-season. He's not one to sit back and Puff on a cigar in preparation for the season. John Boy Walton had good traits also.

Good question. He has no Blue Bloods on his list. In addition to that, he has a bunch of questionable characters pursuing him, including Bruce Pearl and Will Wade. Maybe he's a G-League threat?
G League could be a threat now for any guys we go after and get (case in point, Caleb Love). But that is pretty sketch w Pearl and Wade... those guys have no boundaries

Kristian Lander just officially reclassified to 2020 for Indiana, still talk of others mulling it over as well.

I'm not a fan of reclassifying in general. I get the feeling it seldom works out well for either party. Maybe it is the puke way of doing it, but I always get the feeling coaches encourage it with nothing but the team's needs in mind!

You're right. Why have thread titles to begin with? After all, we have plenty of time now to scour every thread for whatever info or subjects that might be of interest.
It's not a big deal unless you actually expect a thread titled "2020 recruiting thread" to concern 2020 recruiting.
In fact, no titles is a great idea to prevent thread theft. We can discuss anything, any time, anywhere. And we don't have to wear a mask. Heck, if we hang an assault rifle on our shoulder while reading and typing we can call it real freedom.

just watched RJ Davis senior highlights...cat has sick handles! couple it with his fade-away! ...that would compensate for his height. looks like a higher ceiling than Berry.

Straight up bucket getter

Reminds me of Trae Young

This hype video aside, I really like KW 2.0 - seems like he's well under-ranked.

What he lacks in athleticism, he makes up for with strength. That's a college-ready physique. If the shot can translate, he'll be immediately valuable.
Yeah, I agree. At 6-5 and with that physique, he’s strong enough to play SF. I think he gets a few minutes at both SG and SF this year.

Hopefully Leaky and Ant are healthy to start the season and can stay that way. Both have the potential to be very hard nosed defenders and rebounders. RJ can back up the one and the two, Kerwin the two and the three(with Puff helping out at the three). KJ or Creighton can provide spot minutes at the one, and Andrew at the two. Day’ron and Walter back up Mando and Garrison down low.

That’s a great rotation if we’re healthy.
