Any recruiting news?

Looks like we may have lost one commitment due to the recent events. The WR from GA (means I believe was his name).

Maybe Mack can get some of the big names to not sign with other schools during the early signing period. At least give us a shot.

I think that's probably going to be his pitch. Wait to sign later so you can hear our pitch.

As far as current recruits go I'm not sure it really matters if a few decommit as long as we get a good class next year.

Man I hope mack hires the DC from army and we get tt's newly fired coach for offense I would tell kapilocic he can coach the o line but don't say anything about calling g plays. Dude is a good o line coach. I would also retain thigpen and blue

I think Kap has already received his walking papers.

Mack the salesman may be able to do that with 2 or 3 guys, perhaps one of them already committed.

There are reports that Bryant plans to make his decision next week. I hope he gives Mack time to talk to him and to consider UNC as an option.

I was hoping he would give up on him. Personally, I hope the visit is to let him know it might be better for him to go somewhere else.

I don't think he's going to end up here, but Mack could've done that with a phone call. I don't think its the end of the world if he does come here, but I think we'd all like to see Ruder/Fortin starting next year.

I wouldn't mind seeing them split time to really have a chance to see which one of them is the better option long term.

We weren’t going to get much help from the recruits that had committed, no real game changers in the group. That’s on Fed.
Yeah, these guys probably weren't going to be providing much on the field. Maybe as special teams players. I know Mack would never admit this, but it wouldn't surprise me if he was letting these guys know that their college career might be best spent somewhere else. I'm more interested in what happens with the next class. That will tell us if recruiting is back on track.

That kid had legit 4.4 speed I k owed we are all in agreement that this was a horrible class. However we aren't about to get a parade of 4* and 5 * all of a sudden want in on this class. Just my take though
Just because someone is fast doesn't mean they make a good football player. There's really not much need to pay attention to this class. It was a bad class already and it was built around what Fed wanted, which isn't what Mack wants. 2020 and beyond is what you need to pay attention to.

Has their been any info regarding what type of offense Mack wants to run?

We may be run dominant but I do expect some type of spread like offense. Even Saban has adopted more passing. It would be nice not to have to score 45 to win a game though.

I have seen Kevin Wilson's name mentioned as a potential OC candidate

Let’s not talk about Bama and what they do...We are not close to them...What we can compare I self to is the Costal Division...We are right there...Right now...

With the OL talent we have and RB it’s a no brained...So happy to not see a 45 second 3 and out...
I think most of us are. It's one thing to run a hurry up offense if you're scoring 45 PPG, it's an entirely different thing to do it when you're averaging 25 PPG. Putting a tired, mediocre defense back out on the field after a two minute offensive possession is a recipe for disaster. It magnifies the defensive shortcomings.

Well, when we have first and goal inside the five with a powerful RB, I want to see him touch the ball at least once. I want a balanced offense, it's the most difficult to defend.

More passing does not necessarily translate to a spread.

I do think Mack will lean that way, if only because in offensive system, Mack is always behind the curve. He held on to a type of option far too long at UNC, and adopted a type of West Coast too late to maximize it. At Texas, he wanted too long to adopt some spread offense, allowing all kinds of talented spread QBs from TX to go all over. Mack's failure to see the future is what cost him so much in recruiting over his final 5 or 6 years.

hoping he lets the OC make some of those choice woadblue cause you made a good observation

Ok back on track here. I understand that most of these guys weren’t going to set the world on fire just spreading the news. I’m sure we can fill these spots with better prospects.

This year was the longest TOP for our offense under Fedora. We weren’t the quick strike offense from years past. There was a local article about how State snapped the ball faster and ran more plays than we did this year.

It seems you're dogging all my posts. Get a life. Otherwise , GFY. You're like a gnat constantly buzzing around. It's as if you feel it's your duty to defend Fed against his detractors. Just stop it. He's gone . It's water under the bridge.
