Are we still a one seed?

Neutral isn't the same as "road". As far as I can remember, the only "neutral" court games this year for the Heels were UK for the CBS Classic (which may have been the best game of the season) and the Maui Invitational (which Carolina ran rough shod over),
Obviously. But they both are considered when calculating LRPI, which Duke is #1. And it's something the committee strongly considers, given that all tourney games are neutral sites

I just informed your fanbase that the reality of the situation is that UNC can't defend Duke without fouling. You can live in your own alternate reality if you so choose. Also, you might want to check the strength of those road records. Most of UNC's road wins were against the bkttom half of the league. Most of your tough games were at home.

There's some constructive contribution. Thanks for joining the conversation. Carolina played who was put in front of them. Can't change the conference schedule. They played, what appeared to be preseason, one of the top teams in Indiana on the road. They played another top Big 10 team in Wisconsin in the Maui. They played UK on a neutral court. The unbalanced schedule is what it is though. You can't change the teams that the ACC says you have to play and where you have to play them.

Right, but that still doesn't change the reality that you played the tough teams at home and the weaker teams on the road. It doesn't matter what is or isn't in the teams control.

As to your point about being well received without the jabs. LOL, yeah I'm really sure the majority of Tar Heel fans would listen to and entertain the concept that their beloved team simply couldn't handle Duke without fouling. Instead they all had to blame it on the refs. That's why the jabs are necessary. To get their attention and lay some tough reality on them. I have no interest in being well received or liked by Tar Heels. But no UNC fan, or most other fans for that matter, is actually going to want to have a legit discussion about how their team got out worked and out played. Much easier to ignore that and blame the refs. I'm all about discussion but Tar Heel fans have proven to me NUMEROUS times that they can't handle it.

You guys had a home loss to NC State... ouch

Man, I"m pretty confident that we have some quite level headed posters here that would absolutely love to have a non-biased basketball discussion, but you have to know you can't go into someone else's house like a bull in a china shop and expect to get anything but dismissive opposition.

Hmmm...that is a mind bender for sure..hmmm...oh wait I've got it! Now read carefully here, I know Tar Heels struggle with reading. This concept is going to blow your mind. You ready?

UNC CAN'T DEFEND DUKE WITHOUT FOULING!!!!!
AND dook CAN'T PLAY WITHOUT FLOPPING, TRIPPING, AND HEAD-WHIPPING TO DRAW HALF THEIR BULLSHIT FOULS!!!!!

1) numerous times - then why are you over here? Sad life. Must be an idiot, fool, or true troll ( or maybe a fooldiotroll) to not be able to learn from NUMEROUS times.
2) where were you last week when we outworked you and outplayed you, and you Dookbags obviously lacked the heart and skill to defend us, specifically Berry and Hicks?
3) is your purpose to come over and talk junk only to get banned? Cause about half the comments you made, if a Heels fan made on DI, would get them banned on DI. Or so I've heard. I haven't ever posted on DI, almost never read. Doing so would constitute ME having something akin to your sad life. Glad I don't

This may seem silly but if you think duke and UNC are neck and neck for the 1, then you should probably pull for wisconsin to win today to strengthen our schedule just a tad more.

Come to think about it whether Duke gets a #1 or #2 seed probably won't matter one bit. If a #1 then Gonzaga will be the #2 in the region. If Duke gets a #2, Gonzaga will be the #1 in the region. Safe bet if you ask me.

and dook will not be.

and UNC will still be playing in the tourney while dook is back in Derm watching Battlestar Galactica and practicing their reach-arounds.

No, they will be a 2. For myself, there seems to be very little to no difference between a 1 & 2 seed. The dEVILs are playing very well at the moment, I can see them having a nice little run here in the Tourney.

I also believe our boys will be far more focused in the next few games because of that dOOk game collapse. I just hope 1) that JB & JJ don't put too much pressure on themselves. 2) That Roy whittles the rotation to our starting 5 plus Bradly, Britt & Maye.

Gonzaga and Arizona will be in the West.

Duke is gonna be in Kansas bracket if a 2 or in Kentuckys bracket if a 1. Same for UNC.

This makes me might want a 2 more. I dont want to be in Kentuckys bracket...

But if we are a 2, don't you just know it will be in KU's bracket. And we think Roy has issues when playing dook; he REALLY has issues when we play Kansas.
Yes we do. Because the first three teams for a conferenxe have to be in different brackets. Thus, either Duke or UNC gets the South and the other cannot be in the South also.

The #1 overall cannot have the top #2 seed. Thus, Villanova being the 1 means that Duke nor UNC could be the 2 there as they would be the top 2.

They will send us to the closest bracket which will be the Midwest. And Arizona will be in the West.

Louisville is like the 2 in the East.

Either Duke or UNC is the 1 in the South and the other is absolutely the 2 in the Midwest.

I'd rather be in Kentucky's bracket than Kansas' personally.

The only way the two could have been in the West is if the weakest 2 seed and the other 3 2 seeds slotted into the east south and midwest and left the west as the only open option.

last night, 8/12 and ND 9/12....how is that so one sided? it seems that way when unc overplayed and didn't adapt to the way the game was being called....
Our recent teams haven't been as good at drawing fouls as teams some years back.

Part of that is that our bigs tend to commit fouls and perhaps they compensate by not being as aggressive on offense. Look at Isaiah, for example. He'll work his way closer to the basket pretty well, but when he goes up for the shot it's often a fall-away jumper that minimizes the chance that he will draw a foul. Kennedy has a pretty deft touch to get his shots in, utilizing reverses and such to dodge his defender. But because he succeeds in dodging his defender, he doesn't get fouled as much as a guy like Hans, who just powered it up through any kind of contact.

Dude, I welcome discussions from rival fans, even ones from Duke. But don't come over here to be a little prick. You can take that shit back to Durham.

I'm really hoping for the Memphis region. Only a 4.5 hour drive for me.
I just don't want UK there also. Stupid ass UK fans drive up ticket prices

We are a 1. See the 1 seed flags behind Greg Gumbel and that Dbag from Dook Seth Davis.

I hope Gamecocks (7E)get a chance to upset Dook in round 2. Greenville almost HAS to be a home game for them, right? Commence bitching dookies
