She better hurry. November 8 is just 4 days away.

Lol. One minute I hear "The GOP hates Trump, that guy can't even get the backing of his own party!" the next I hear "The GOP is changing all the rules around for voting to help Trump!" Some of you guys must be expert DJ's.... you can spin anything.
As for early voting.... I think it's kind of dumb in general, but I don't really care one way or the other. However I do think we have an election day for a reason. At that rate, why not let people vote in June if they want?
As for allowing everyone to participate in the democratic process... yes that sounds great in theory. Until you realize the amount of knowledge (or lack thereof) of the candidates and the issues that a large portion of voters possess. And before the washing machines out there start their spin cycle - that goes for voters on both sides of the aisle.

So, you're like me, and chick, and gtee, and uncboy... our states are already counted for the presidential race. Yours especially.I'm just a big Bruins/Red Sox/Pats fan from Boston, Georgia.
(yes - Massachusetts)

I wish we had the marijuana vote here. I don't smoke it. I really can't smoke it- makes me terribly paranoid. But, I want it to be legal everywhere.Absolutely. This place would vote Dem if Satan himself was running with a (D) next to his name. I'll be showing up at the polls on Tuesday strictly to vote "YES" on Question 4 (legalization of marijuana similar to Colorado, Washington, etc.). I'm going to be absolutely livid if this state votes Liberal/Dem for everything and then Question 4 somehow doesn't pass.
Here's the electoral map for 1972. Literally the only state that voted Democrat (although, to be fair, maybe MA was right about Nixon)

I don't either. Although I suspect that those against voter id laws don't actually think that black people will have a hard time getting an id. It's just an opportunity to play the race card and get some votes.I don't understand the assumption that black people are somehow challenged to get identification.
I think it says a lot about some liberals and some conservatives. Both groups think a lot of blacks don't have the sense to get an ID. They both are racist to a degree but have different objectives, one being to "take care of the black people" and the other to keep black people from voting..I don't understand the assumption that black people are somehow challenged to get identification.

Exactly. It's like there's this general attitude that black people are like children or something. I mean, it's one thing to be purposely trying to marginalize them. But, to assume they "need help all the time" is, in effect, marginalizing them!I think it says a lot about some liberals and some conservatives. Go visit the streets where the poor live, not just black neighborhoods. Ask them.Exactly. It's like there's this general attitude that black people are like children or something.
