I dont agree with @SJung851 ’s take at all. I think coach pulled off a masterpiece with his lineups and defensive adjustments and imo out coached K this time around.

I am certainly no fan of duke. However I do feel that their consistent winning makes Unc better. It definitely makes for a good rivalry.

The one game and two points separation between the two teams over the years referenced in the game is incredible. A rivalry is not one unless there is relative competitive parity.

Wake vs Carolina was way more interesting when they were led my Duncan’s and that State Farm guy. Chris Paul.

State vs Carolina was way more interesting when David Thompson made the outcome uncertain.

Winning is always more fun when it is unexpected.

I do think k is not as good a coach as he was ten years ago. I still remember wojo and the likes slapping the floor and playing tenacious defense.

Dude, our ENTIRE starting lineup last year was McDonalds All Americans. All 5 of them. And they were all juniors and seniors. Plus our freshman 6th man was an All American as well. I give Roy credit for winning without OADs and Top 5 recruits, but to say he’s winning without Elite talent is moronic. I swear half of this board thinks we have players that would be playing at Gardner Webb if Roy didnt recruit them

Yeah, those teams were very talented the last 2 years. Like you said, it wasn't with the "OAD talent", only Jackson was a top 10 recruit? Compared to 09 where I think we had a few top 10 recruits. Roy is still best in the business IMO.
