the likely most common mode of transmission, according to WHO, is direct droplet or aerosol projection from one individual to another who are in close contact. General airborne aerosol transmission is deemed less likely, although they still caution against gatherings in crowded, relatively poorly ventilated spaces for that reason. They don't really have a handle on that, they are being cautionary in that suggestion. In other words, you are pretty much as susceptible to catching the bug in a protest or riot as you are in a church; but unless it's a church where screaming and yelling and bodies rubbing against each other are taking place, that's where I'm going to take my chances instead of a protest outdoors....if I'm taking WHO at their word, and if I went to church, and if I gave a shit about a bug that likely isn't going to kill me.*
