He's showing his true colors now, a total POS. And let's not forget, once again dook is ousted the first weekend and the only thing they have left is to pull for the rest of the field against UNC.

I'm loving every bit of their obsessive, low class, whining angst.

Yes, they do, Bleed. One of the biggest jerks I come into contact with regularly is a big dookie. Since dook signed this last recruiting class, he has been talking outrageous BS. They were going to win the regular season, the ACCT, and the NCAAT. They weren't going to lose more than 1-2 games all year long. And on and on ad infinitum. His abject misery right now is a balm to my soul.

Like most NVSU/UK/dook fans, all they can talk about now is our academic scandal and how we are going to have 2-3 titles vacated. Again, I just smile and bask in their misery. That smile hurts them more than any words I could say. Occasionally, I'll say "Who are you guys playing this weekend? Oh, that's right, no one." Then I just smile to top it off.

If they are civil on our board, I don't mind them getting caught up in the mob mentality on their own board. Most of us do the same.

If nothing happens to men's bb a few of those guys will be on suicide watch. They seem to have way way way too much time and emotion vested in this scandal. What else will they do with all their time once it is over?

Plenty of good posters but the scandal crowd can't discuss anything else.

I used to post there fairly regularly too. And there were some good guys there who would actually discuss basketball with me without getting into a pissing contest. That's nigh impossible now, as a couple of our regulars are learning the hard way, despite joining in the bashing of some UNC fans over there. The dookies have still rejected them.

I think the anonymity of the internet makes people say things they would never say in person. I know I can still carry on great basketball rivalry conversations with my friends who support dook. We trash talk but it never gets too heated or personal.

Yeah I grew up in a house where debate and arguments were regular given that my dad and I don't see eye to eye on CBB and we support almost all the same teams in other sports. However, it's definitely become more hostile between the two groups.

I can relate somewhat... in the early 70's our family moved from up north when I was a knee-high, and initially I pulled for all the big 4 teams. UNC was my favorite but I still pulled for Duke (sic) when they made the finals in 78 and State in 83. However after the LOM arrived in Derm, my hatred for dook quickly grew and gets stronger every year.

Arch, we lose it when we talk about duke or ky, so I expect others to talk crap about the heels when they love a rival of ours. I just happen to know topps really well and can easy say I could not have a better friend. Say you don't like what he says in any terms you want but his words on a message board does not and should not define the man.
What he said on his duke board may well be considered a POS thing to say but the man himself is not a POS.

The man hates UNC EVERY BIT AS MUCH AS YOU OR I HATE DUKE! Makes for some fun and at times some intense backs and forth discussions between us.

But that also keeps things fun in that we do not agree often on this topic so we can have good natured arguments and yet know there is a line that we do not cross. In the end, sports is great but nothing is more import to me than my friends and family.

Yeah, it never bothered me. I don't care at all what someone posts on their own board. I always hated people copying and pasting stuff from one board to another. Topps is grumpy on the main board as well sometimes and he really hates UNC but that's ok. I have no issues with it. It's kind of humorous.

I freaking LOVE how they are all now saying "maybe we need to go away from OADs".

After 2015 they were begging for even more of them.

I think 2012 UK and 2015 Duke are going to stand out as two exceptions to the rule on what it takes to build a championship team when we have more time to evaluate the OAD era. 16 Nova, 17 UNC are more the norm.

Depends on how far it goes.

I was attacked by someone over there and I called him out for being uncivil. He came over here and searched my posts until he found some dig against K to prove that I deserved his attack.

The truth is that I don't particularly attack Duke, K or their players over here. But I do sometimes stick in the needle or mock their pseudo-away games, or whatever. Just fun, in-crowd stuff.

But that's why I cut people slack who may be bashers on their board, but are civil here. Anyone can get caught up in the spirit of ranking on a rival on their own turf. It's gang behavior and we are a gang species.

I don't hate NCSU, but I do hate the majority of their fanbase and I pity them a bit. I think UK has the most irrational and ignorant fanbase in the country and their coach leaves a slime trail when he walks, BUT.....

I would never go to another board and troll (one of the lowest human endeavors) or pretend to have different feelings (cowardly). In fact, I simply never go to opposing boards. And I try to use intelligence when talking about peeps on this one.

My puke friends and co-workers know better than to approach me right now. All they have is wait till next year and this is the ultimate in lameness! I don't have to be mean because the Tar Heels have already kicked their collective arses and taken their names!

A KY fan came up to me after we beat Oregon and got in my face and said "You better be happy your team got lucky last night or they would have lost". I smiled and replied "Luck counts, we won, and I am happy.". His girlfriend laughed at him.
