If he could still play at a high level he would've been on a team. The gun thing was just an excuse to go on top of all the injuries.Yeah, I guess that's true, but his NBA career was pretty much done after that.

Yep that, and he was a loose cannon (no pun intended)...If he could still play at a high level he would've been on a team. The gun thing was just an excuse to go on top of all the injuries.
Not disputing that. But he's still more a score-first player, from what I've seen. Not sure it will be that hard. PG is in Jalek's DNA (literally and figuratively). It showed in the UA finals this summer when Jalek took over point from Leaky in crunch time, restored order and brought home a come-from-behind win.
Not likely to matter. The other factor is that 7th will have had a year in Roy's system playing with Joel and Nate. So IF he has the ability, he will be a year ahead of Jalek in that sense.
You think Jalek will be that good? I hope you are right. Not likely to matter.
Yep.You think Jalek will be that good? I hope you are right.
Yeah, and apparently he also had this thing about pulling guns on teammates and stuff...
As do I, and from day one. We're in great shape with guards for the foreseeable future.Yep.
SG or he becomes our 6th man scorer 22-25 MPGSo here's a question...
What's Jalek's role and PT as a freshman if Joel returns for his senior year?
Same question if Joel does not return for his senior year.
I don't assume anyone thinks he pushes Joel aside if Joel returns. So does he step into the SG spot (pushing several other players to the curb); does he play mainly as backup PG (getting limited PT); or does he split duties at both positions (which isn't always a good thing for freshmen to do)?
If Joel leaves and Jalek starts at point, does 7th back him up there, or is 7th our starting SG? I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to see both of them on the court together. But is that the best use of our other personnel?
Personally I'm always a bit leery of placing freshmen into starting roles. A few are ready (Barnes comes to mind) but most usually aren't. Sometimes throwing them in the deep end forces them to get ready (Marcus) but sometimes they just need more time (Brice).
First PG off the bench and good minutes at the 2So here's a question...

At minimum, this. I fully expect him to start from day one because I don't think we're going to have him more than two years max.First PG off the bench and good minutes at the 2
Not likely to matter.
Some things just can't be taught... or at least not taught sufficiently to supersede a natural.gary, buddy, I am not going to say that 7th will beat out Jalek for back up PG minutes behind Joel or starter at the point if Joel were to leave. But to tell me that 7th playing a full season before Jalek gets here isn't gonna be a huge help for him in that battle? That is where ya lose me...Tellin ya my friend, ya under estimating 7th Woods.
