I mean you do have money now for a pretty high level player this roster is not close to complete

This kid was pure Tar Heel! This one stings More than the other departures combined for me.
We as fans complain that we are not developing kids when the one and done crowd comes in and does not make it to the league. Well this is what it feels like when the one and dones that we love actually chase their dream. Hate it for us, love it for Drake.

There is nothing in his statement about maintaining his eligibility for a return. He's gone.

To be fair, TOS is reporting that he's maintained eligibility. But that shouldn't matter. We need to get one, now.

It all depends where he ends up. Get drafted into a stable organization, then he can fulfill his potential. Go to a dysfunctional organization, then good luck to any 20 YO.

Who currently on the roster can get a bucket when you absolutely have to have one? It’s a fairly flawed roster offensively.
when it’s all said and done, a lot of you will have to come to grips and realize it’s always been a Hubert issue, and not a money issue. truth is nobody great wants to play for hubert in his disjointed system. we have spent a good bit of money on 2nd tier transfers and backup level talent by UNC traditional standards. we will have a taller, lesser talented offensive team next year and end up with similar results.

Last offseason was dramatically impacted by a lack of money, even if you refuse to admit it.
Hubert is not going to ever get it done. But he is a nice guy, a fine role modal as a person.
Right now, I hope that somehow Joe Mazzulla always wanted to be a Tar Heel and now really wants to coach college basketball.
We apparently had multiple NBA coaches inquire about the job the first time around. Weird how none of them were good enough to make the official coaching search somehow...

For the 1000th time, Drake was never going to enter the portal, it was the NBA or UNC.
And they are all gone now and there is only one that stayed the whole time he could and it's not like they left because they were NBA ready.
They leave because he doesn't develop players, they know they can't improve under Hubert.

This is actually a good thing for HD, he gets blamed for not developing guys to go to NBA, he gets a guy to go and we bash him.

It's pretty obvious I wasn't talking about him, and your argument about them wanting to play for Hubert is done with the FACT that he can't keep them.
Looks to me like everyone that thinks they want to play for him changes their minds after actually playing for him.
If it ends right now you are correct but they will fill 3/4 more spots and there is no telling who that may be
