Duke is solid in a 82-69 win. They are tall deep and they are playing good ball. Only a veteran team like Alabama. Auburn and Clemson which play very physical have a solid chance in stopping the Blue Devils.
He did play hero ball then they adjusted their Defense to that I feel if he swings the ball some during that span could have got easier looks

Oh it's going to have to be a as big of a retool as we had in the summer of 2023.
We're going to need to spend major NIL money. And we simply can not miss on the starters. We can't ever again enter the season thinking Withers, Lubin, and Washington-type players can carry our frontcourt.
We have got to get Carolina caliber starters.
Nobody else was making shots. Withers and Jackson were both building brick houses. Lubin probably left about 14 points on the floor with his dropped passes and fumbled rebounds.

Yea and everyone defaulting to RJ when times get tough and then watching RJ trying to play hero really is getting so old...
It would have been super heroic to pull it off but they adjusted to that and like you said other teammates know the shots going up

carolina is sooo predictable…not having a dominant big is an amazing handicap when you have a pg like ec and rj…throw in not having a marksman and you’re dead.

We'll have to beat dook in the ACC semifinals. And at the end of the day, that's just really tough when they have such a massive talent advantage up front.
while the offensive complaints are valid… Duke shot almost 60% for the game. UNC’s defense needed to get them some easy opportunities and that completely stopped in the 2H.
It was a great performance by them especially in the second half. Also they had a guy make 2 3’s and he made 2 coming into the game.

We had to play zone defense to pull away from Florida State.
This team has some major holes defensively. Lubin is the biggest issue. He is too slow to guard the perimeter, and too short to defend the paint. But he's also the best center we have.
RJ's height is also something that is easy to attack.
We do have guys that will hustle. And that can make a difference on D for short stints. But when opposing teams slow down and simply run actions that attack our weaknesses, our D can't stop it.
UNC played well for a 10 minute stretch tonight. They shouldn’t get any benefit for playing well for a 1/4 of the game.
They made their bed. They have to sleep. Win the ACC Tournament if you want to dance.
