Felton

Oh good grief. I wasn't comparing the two players, just how people reacted to them. People here were hammering Ty for being out of control, over zealous and making terrible decisions.

All I was saying is with freshman PG's at UNC you have to give them some time to adjust and learn how Roy wants them to play.

Yeah I know what you are saying but it was different since Ty was still great as a freshman, even though he was too fast for his own good. Freshman point guards always need a year to learn Roy's system. All I'm saying is Felton has looked far from promising but maybe the light bulb will turn on later this year or offseason

If you don’t see promise in Jalek, I have to doubt your basketball knowledge.

I think it might be a bit early in the season/career to start making comparisons or judgements on Jalek and if the truth be known the comparisons aren't really fair at this point because you're not comparing apples to apples / teams to teams. The step-up in the level of competition, lack of a solid post player along with the presence of Berry has got to be a bit intimidating and in all honesty he looks a bit lost on the floor more often than not but ... if you can't see the potential then you're not really watching him closely. I honestly think he might be more comfortable playing at the 2 more than the 1 at this point but it has to be a bit humbling to go from "the man" on a high school team to a sub on the defending NCAA national championship team. Give him a little time to adjust. Glad he's a Tar Heel for sure !! jmho

What so far have you seen that looks promising? The Ohio State game sure did and other than that I'm struggling to see much promise. He apparently is the most talented player on the team according to Roy. He has a nice shot yeah. I just haven't seen much of him this year to say he's looked promising.

I do believe he will end up being a solid player in the future but I have a few friends who live in SC that said he gave zero effort in HS and that he was overrated as a recruit, and wouldn't perform as expected.

I'll reiterate. If you don't see anything promising in Jalek's game, I question your basketball acumen.

I said he hasn't looked promising so far. That doesn't mean he doesn't have potential to be good. He just hasn't been good at all except for a game vs Ohio state

Very good quickness/speed, great court vision/passing ability, decent handle that needs tightening up, nice looking jumper with 3-pt range. I see a ton to like.

More consistent effort and intensity are needed, especially on the defensive end of the floor. Very promising future, IMO.
