What are you talking aboutPlatek in all likely hood is not coming back is what I was told; I could be wrong, but there is more to the "ankle sprain" than meets the eye. @imajericho that good enough for ya?

The one thing you can’t do is lose home conference games to bottom feeder schools and that’s what just happened. I just don’t see how this year gets much better at this point.
Sure. Then it sucked the post after. While also stating you are a fair weather fan. So, grats to that, bruh.@imajericho you got on my grammer... i figured i would have you check it
That is a disgusting take.Roy has some decisions to make after this season, he doesn't have to honor those schollys, they have to be earned..
Yeah, it’s extremely frustrating to watch such minimal basketball IQ. Too many injuries, too little talent, too little experience, too little fire, and not one good outside shooter. Hard to overcome that.I'll keep watching and hoping for a victory every time the Heels play (just like I did during 8-20), but this team is so frustrating and disappointing to watch. I didn't expect a FF squad this year but I sure as hell didn't expect the kind of first half (lack of) effort we saw tonight from any Carolina basketball team.
Roy doesn’t roll like that, nor should he. Limited as several of them may be in talent, they committed when others wouldn’t.Roy has some decisions to make after this season, he doesn't have to honor those schollys, they have to be earned..
Exactly. Even the commentator said UNC players were sleep walking around. It was just pitiful to watch.Other than Brooks, GT had about 3 times the "want to" than we did. And that is not only disheartening but very concerning.
Told by whom?Platek in all likely hood is not coming back is what I was told; I could be wrong, but there is more to the "ankle sprain" than meets the eye. @imajericho that good enough for ya?
That gets us to an issue: Roy is a system coach. He coaches according to one vision. He runs.Just a thought should we abandon the frantic pace of play and slow it down? Along with ramp up the defense and try to win low scoring games like uva? Reason being we just don’t have any great ball handlers. It’s not flashy or Roy’s way but is working for the hoos.
That's what I'm wondering too - is there some chemistry or bad attitude(s) behind the scenes that are having a negative effect on this team? Maybe it's just me but something doesn't feel right.Yea that was a weak effort to say the least. I’m worried about division within the team at this point. I dont know what else can explain it. Once again...i hate it for roy. I know he pours his heart and soul into these guys and to see such.....i dont know what to call it....lackadaisical effort maybe....is hard.
10-2 st the first TV timeout. Why Smith came in so early is a mystery. Carolina putting up bricks from every direction. Brooks already o for three. May have to put in Pierce early again.
???Roy has some decisions to make after this season, he doesn't have to honor those schollys, they have to be earned..
uh naw bruh i am no fair weather fan, but I wasn't gonna watch the rest of that game. I took my 2 youngest out to eat and let them pick a toy from a store. Sometimes I gotta step back so I remember there are way more important things in my life than a bball, football, soccer, etc game goin on... I also follw field hockey lax, and any other sport that unc has... I am many things fair weather fan ain't one of themSure. Then it sucked the post after. While also stating you are a fair weather fan. So, grats to that, bruh.
That’s a low blow.Other Gt dunk and Black scores on a baseline drive 96-83 final and it is Platek’s plus minus that decides the game.
Yes, it is. I’m not sure the guys on this team understand the level of commitment that it takes to play at UNC.Other than Brooks, GT had about 3 times the "want to" than we did. And that is not only disheartening but very concerning.
For some reason, this team just isn’t listening or “buying in”, call it what you will. Our chemistry just isn’t good right now. Part of it is injuries but there’s more to it than that. I know one thing, I’ve never seen Roy this frustrated before. In the postgame presser, he said he wanted to keep the players out on the court to run sprints at halftime, but didn’t want to embarrass them. Perhaps he should have. That would have made a statement to the players.Yea that was a weak effort to say the least. I’m worried about division within the team at this point. I dont know what else can explain it. Once again...i hate it for roy. I know he pours his heart and soul into these guys and to see such.....i dont know what to call it....lackadaisical effort maybe....is hard.

next game start brooks & the last 4 guys on the bench who never play .. till the first tv timeout
I have not heard anything about Platek having finalized a decision to leave after this season, I have heard that it is a consideration because his projected PT does not look good with the talent we have coming in to his position. I do not buy that the ankle injury is a story to cover up that he is transferring, he has already played in to many games to be a transfer that could use this season as a red shirt. I have heard NOTHING to indicate Platek is in any way in Roy's dog house, all I have heard is the kid is legit hurt but is expected to come back and play in a few games.Big time reinforcements coming next year. If there is any truth to Platek transfering, maybe we can add to it.
ETA: let me add that I'm not saying I want to see AP leave. I hate to see any Tar Heel leave.
