Now I know there will be MANY here that despise these but I think they're awesome! Love the Carolina blue and black combo.

Dadika, I'm not sure if Nike will officially sell them, but I do know you can pick up a knock off Jordan one on eBay that's pretty close for a reasonable price.

Yeah, I've seen a few of those and they aren't bad. These have a gold trim on them that I really like. Hope Nike makes them available.

Dean and Guthridge would roll over in their graves if they saw this crapola uniform, their is no black in UNC basketball uniforms and should not be allowed or forced on the University and Coach Roy by Nike. Nike money has no business in UNC basketball.

Nike Money not wanted huh? UNC has the final say. That being said I do not have a problem seeing these uniforms once or even twice (up to twice) a year IF UNC Basketball wishes to wear them. After that it is really about the UNC PLAYER inside the uniform that will make the difference in the end...

Did you watch that video too? Couple of takeaways from the vid (nothing to do with the uniform):
1. Check out Theo, bum foot and all and he just can't stand still. The guy is perpetual motion and just oozes joy for the game and his team. I'm really hoping he gets healthy.
2. Here is where you really see how sleek Kennedy is! The kid is fit right now.

The most important part to take away from that video is the players reactions..they loved it! That says enough for me and I'm sure recruits love it too! Go Heels!

Definitely agree with that one. I like seeing the kids mix it up, but the old faithful of Carolina blue and white should be the standard.

When Fedora was introducing all that black into the football unis, didn't some ask Roy if they would ever have black in their uniforms and he replied something along the lines of "absolutely not?"

Yep those were definitely the low point as uniforms go!

I'd be interested to see an age group polling of the opinions on the uni.

Under 40 crowd loves them, over 40 hates them. Thus is life.

If our players and our recruits love them, why would anyone be against them?

They remind me of the T-shirt I had to buy for Fedora's Stripe out game when my section was supposed to wear black. I got a nice looking black and Carolina Blue T, and now I can wear it to the DES! Might become my lucky season shirt.

BTW: Someone said Navy would be better. I agree that it looks good, but to me it is the color of evil!

I'm down with the black uniforms for one game as a few others have said. I have no problem with the football team flip flopping uniforms and mix and matching various colors every week because they don't have a tradition to uphold - but the basketball team seems better suited to the traditional Carolina Blue and White.

That said - the jerseys definitely look awesome; and all I really care about is how the players and recruits feel about them. If they love them - go for it.
