The NCAA stuff didn't have a big impact on our basketball recruiting.

"From 2008 to 2017, about 70% of the deaths in school bus-related crashes were occupants of vehicles other than the school bus, and 17% were pedestrians. About 6% were school bus passengers, 4% were school bus drivers and 3% were pedalcyclists."

Sounds like the bus is safer.

You mean sounds like the bus is safer for the kids. I was gonna stay out of this bus brewhaha because I really don't give a shit how those snot-nosed pissant 8 year old little bastards get to school. But if they're traveling in a vehicle that has a better chance of killing me than killing themselves, now I have issue with it.

Right, safer for the kids. That was the point being debated.

Yes in the ‘pure’ sense more cars does mean more traffic. I like your word play there, but more traffic does not mean longer travel times. All traffic is not created equal.
I will play devil's advocate here with only one thought, most of the car riders will be heading to work anyway. Biggest problem would be traffic in and out of school.

Getting rid of buses would be a massive undertaking. I also agree with dick on one thing. Nothing good takes place on buses. It was definitely one place I learned the ways of the world.

2011 90.56
2010 99.48

2007 n/a
2006 98.62
2005 86.68
2004 98.88

So, there isn't a big drop off during the NCAA stuff. It just seemed like that because we weren't getting the big men that we wanted and everyone was going to UK/duke. Given our results during that period, I think it's safe to say there was little to no impact on the court as well.

For the record, that wasn't the only point I was making. They're not safe. They're inefficient. They enable negative behavior to thrive and they annoy the f*ck out of me.

I didn’t say I had a plan for getting rid of the buses. I’ll leave the planning to @tarheel0910 and @JuleZ '02 HEEL.

Forget the buses, just get rid of school. What a waste of time and resources and for what? Indoctrination? Oh, there is that..

Yeah who needs reading, math, science, foreign language, arts or physical education? That stuff is for commies. Such a waste.

Donald Sterling should have never been forced out of the NBA.

edited to add - I don't really even find this take all that hot.

You think it's ok that a racist owns a team in a league that is 75% of the very people he's racist against?

I'd love to hear an explanation of this position.
