How bout them Panthers!

ha, really dude? you're a football dunce...tell me again how your franchise is shaping up with rg3's contract and cousins running it?
Wow... name-calling in one try? Nice job.

Yeah, RG3 is crap, too. No argument here! Does RG3 being a total bust somehow make Romo better? If Dallas keeps sticking Romo out there before he's healed, he'll wind up like RG3- broken for good.

And then there was one...................undefeated team in the NFL. Broncos have a legit backup quarterback it seems.
Hope this doesn't add unneeded pressure to cam to perform. We look like we can handle the rest of the schedule. Atlanta looks to be a sleeper for us to me

Atlanta has been looking pretty bad of late. I understand you can throw stuff like that out the window as far as divisional matchups are concerned, but they don't look at all like the same team that started out 5-0 (or whatever it was).

At this point, the only team stopping the Panthers from going 16 - 0 is...the Panthers. They should be miles ahead of the remaining teams on this schedule. Even if the offense sputters, the defense SHOULD be too strong for these teams to overcome. Much like Romo, I have always felt Eli Manning is a turnover-waiting-to-happen, and you just saw what this Carolina team does to those types of QBs. New York should not scare anyone...that is just a hyped game from the media b/c they are in a big market IMO.

I would be more concerned with just staying healthy at this point. Unless a disaster happens, they should be hosting the NFC Championship Game with a Super Bowl birth on the line.

My concern with Atlanta is the closeness of the 2 games. The second game will be the tell IMO. Atlanta may have time to prep any weakness they expose. Good luck with that!!!!

I could understand that...just not expecting it. Going into this season, even after the KB injury, I thought this was a 12-win team, minimum...just based on the depth in all phases and the fact that they overcame just a mountain of adversity last year (no need to rehash). They fixed more issues on-the-fly last year than most teams do in several, and I truly expected that to carry over to this year...and it clearly has.

Not saying they will finish the year 16 - 0, but they is really starting to look very likely. There are enough veterans on this team who have been in pressure spots with other teams that I don't think they'll let this get to their egos...and it definitely helps that Ron Rivera has been there as a player himself as well. I am just worried about them staying healthy for the playoffs.

Panthers are playing great right now. They should definitely get the 1 seed in the NFC, and I don't see them losing at home in the playoffs, so I believe they'll be representing the NFC in the Super Bowl.

Most likely for a rematch of Super Bowl 38 against the Patriots. I believe New England was about a 3 point favorite in that one. Should be similar this time around, maybe 4-5 point favorites but not much more than that I don't think - the Panthers D should prevent New England from being more than a TD favorite. Would be a great game, and if I could find my way into tickets I'd be on the next flight to SF!

It's one of those games.... Hostile crowd against a divisioal foe with nothing to lose. Panthers are being sloppy and will need to get their crap together in the 2nd half.

Glad cam made it out alive. Definitely dinged up after such a physical game. Funny to see him standing so close to the other teams goaline during team announcements.

This is only speculation, but I kinda get it...I have wondered if Ginn Jr is just running so fast that it makes it harder to concentrate on the football. It's hard to explain, but I used to run track and when I was sprinting, I would a lot of times lose my sense of awareness for anything other than just "run as fast as you can." Visually, though, everything I was looking at in the moment would be "wobbly", if that makes any sense at all.

Not an excuse -- those drops simply cannot happen -- but could be a reason.

Here's what I see looming in the playoffs and it's making me nervous already.... when Seattle wins this weekend (over the Ravens) they will be tied with the Vikings for the 5th seed, but own the tie-breaker. If the standings hold, the Seahawks would get to play the NFC East winner (er... or should I say loser) in wild-card round, and I think it's fair to say that Seattle would beat whoever comes out as the winner of that crappy division. If Carolina remains the 1 seed (which they should), then the Seahawks likely come to Charlotte for the divisional round and that's what scares me. Even though the Panthers beat them earlier this year, which is the reason I started this thread in the first place, the Seahawks are playing much better now and have been to the last two Super Bowls. I know I shouldn't be worrying about that now, but it's shaping up that way. Besides, by putting it out there, I'm hoping I'll jinx the Seahawks. Them and the Cardinals appear to be the Panthers biggest obstacles to reaching Super Bowl 50.

I can't say I don't agree with you. Hopefully they slide off a bit before the playoffs and miss it. I haven't looked it up to see who they play

Are there any doubters left. 2 tough games left and we run the table. Giants and tampa

At Giants
At Falcons
Tampa

Panthers will be favored but the Giants game could be a trap. They nearly beat the patriots at home and will be desperate for a win to keep pace in their division.

After what I saw today, I don't think Atlanta will be much of a factor. We have to keep winning to get the playoff home advantage.

Just home from the game today - completely awesome! But man, big players in the NFL are dropping like flies...the Rawls injury hurts Seattle BADLY. I know they still won impressively today, but I don't see them coming into BOA Stadium in the playoffs and beating this Carolina defense. Just have to get through these next 3 weeks unscathed. When Olsen was down in the end zone before halftime, rolling on the ground holding his knee, you could have heard a pin drop in the stadium.

Get well soon, Bene. :(

Bene is out for season.

Olsen, Stewart, and Newton all got dinged yesterday and can't afford to lose any of those. Panthers should consider sitting Stewart next week. Who cares if they lose one game down the stretch as long as he's healthy for the playoffs.
