Definitely a shock. Would have been the strength of the secondary. I wonder if he was asked to switch positions? Something happened.
He wasn't starting the spring game. That's probably a sign that he's lost a step, or messing up in practice (bad angles, etc).
All this stuff about "still working back into shape" seemed a little bogus given that he was playing special teams late last fall.

the entire defensive backfield seems to be cleaning out. Bly is charismatic, and that is very bad in any coach who is not a master as coach. because it will many draw players, who then see that coach as their guru. And that makes then often uncoachable, as well as very defensive of their guru.
It is in that sense that I have seen Bly as worse for the program than Cross, because Cross lacks the charisma to be a guru to players. That limits the cult like following that a guru-coach develops without even trying.
All the DBs who fell fully for that Rude Boyz crap likely would have major issues dealing with Warren, doubly so after Bly was encouraged to go elsewhere.
