...and Bamba. Let them be a 1 seed in that garbage conference and get beat by a 16. So done with this culture. Give me Roy's type of kid all day long.
I couldn't agree more. Now a days, the best players in the NBA want to play on the same team, not against. They literally call eachother up and sign with the same teams. I always tell younger people, that if this happened during my childhood in the 80s, we would never have had Magic vs Bird, Jordan vs Whomever that year, Ewing vs Olajuwon. Their drive to compete would never let them try and win it all by becoming a super team, which almost like cheating.
Same goes for college now. Knox was going about his recruitment perfectly, until porter changed his commitment to Missouri. Now Blake Harris followed him there. And Knoxs eyes light up and he has an (uncharacteristically) smile from cheek to cheek when he talks about being unstoppable on the wings with Porter. And now Jeremiah Tilmon is trying to renege on his NOI with Illinois because he wants to play with them. And the latest is Trevon Duval now saying he has an interest to go see Missouri. It's a freaking joke. Well I'd rather Missouri then d00k and Kentucky, that's for sure. But this generation has a habit of being followers and doing what's popular at the moment, and it's been d00k and Kentucky for a bit now. And so now Missouri is the new one. But I got news for them, Martin is a horrendous coach. He's equivalent to gottfried. So have fun.
I'll enjoy watching Roy develop true Carolina kids into another contender, while I also feel very good at the moment about our chances with landing jarius Hamilton, Romeo Langford (because he's a family oriented kid and always talks about that when he talks Carolina, and Roy usually locks those type of kids up pretty easily), Matthew Hurt and even Zion for a few reasons but mainly because his whole crew will be at North Carolina and that he seems like he just loves Roy Williams to death, and has mentioned in the past that when he first arrived into the Dean Dome, he said he felt as if he arrived home. I also feel really good about Isaiah Todd because he said UNC is a dream school, but I've heard that before with zero success....
