Name That Song

"He who makes a beast out of himself,
Gets rid of the pain of being a man.
Oooooooooooh...
Caught here in a fiery blaze.
Won't lose my will to stay.
I tried....to drive on through the night
The heat stroke-ridden weather,
The barren empty sights.
No oasis here to see.
The sand is singing deathless words to me."

Well done, and yes it is.
Yeah, Black Keys are my shit. It's amazing how good their early albums were before they even found their stride.

I don't listen to them a ton, but I do go back to the well every now and then. "The Lengths" will always be my favorite song by them.

As for my poasted song, probably only @tarheel0910 and @botate will get it.

Dan Auerbach is a cool guy, too!

It's either "Baby" by Justin Bieber or "Bat Country" by A7X.

Would you have known that beto53 5h3 metallica concert? Yes I know I picked their most recognizable song arguably.
I sort of had some help with that one. I was listening to it about 30 minutes before you posted it, so it was fresh in my mind. I've checked with the OP and that's not a violation of the rules, so I guess I'm up.

What if I wanted to fight
Beg for the rest of my life
What would you do?
You say you wanted more
What are you waiting for?
I'm not running from you

Sometimes I cannot take this place,
Sometimes it's my life I can't taste.
Sometimes I cannot feel my face,
You'll never see me fall from grace.
Something takes a part of me.
You and I weren't meant to be
A cheap f*** for me to lay
Something takes a part of me

This thread makes me imagine a group of emo/goth kids getting together and sharing poetry.

I got a feeling that no one will get this one, but I'm going to post it anyway.

You said you'd never ever break... down
But here I am sweeping... pieces off of the ground
You said you'd never, ever play... to crowds
But I've seen you hoping to play songs to them now
I've spent all night long scared of tomorrow, broke my alarm
Everything is almost lost, pick it up slow, before it's gone...

I know it's not, but it kind of reads like a Taylor Swift song. The first two lines especially

I'll have to take your word for it. I couldn't name a single Swift song. I'm sure I've heard many of them, but I couldn't tell you what they were. She is a definite would for me though.

She’s on the radio 24/7. I’m not a fan, it just sounded like her sort of lyrics.

Guess I killed my own thread. It's a tech n9ne song. I'll give you guys a little longer to guess.

Alright, it's Fragile by tech n9ne. New song.

I'm expressing with my full capabilities
And now I'm living in correctional facilities
Cause some don't agree with how I do this
I get straight and meditate like a Buddhist
I'm dropping flavor, my behavior is hereditary
But my technique is very necessary

I was drunk, the day my mom got out of prison
And I went to pick her up in the rain,
But before I could get to the station in my pickup truck
She got run over by a damned old train

(This is probably an easy one but I don’t care)

'This is not Nam, there are rules'

Lyrics
From the hotel to the barroom
Is just a stumble and a fall
And sometimes when it gets bad
I've been known to crawl

Freedom from sorrow
Is just two doors away
I'll escape for a short time
But I know I can't stay

Speaking of 'Nam, has anybody checked out that Ken Burns documentary on Vietnam? It's really well done.

Awesome! 10 parts! Incredible documentary. What was most compelling was he had many NVA and VC participants. One of the biggest, if not the biggest, mistake in the nation's history. It ruined the faith in our government and it was a well-earned ruining, too. As one of the people said in the film, "We've never recovered from it."

Back to the lyrical festivities!

Looks like you might have to give us a hint on this one.
