Who cares if an agent pays for a meal, good grief? Some of this is serious and some of this is silly. Wait the NCAA is silly so I guess it should be this way.
Maybe the agent and Bradley dined after he declared, or maybe Tony paid for his meal.

Glad we weren't paying someone $73k, but could the Bradley meal make him "retroactively ineligible" and affect the banner? I guess we need to know more. Would have been nice to not have our name in this at all, especially after Roy basically came out and said what he said. It will be interesting to hear his response to the report (if he's allowed to respond).
At worst...what? Pay back a meal? Donate the coast to charity? This won't affect a banner or games IMO.

First, this would’ve happened right in the middle of the anal exam the NCAA was giving us, so unless Tony was trying to screw us over, I don’t see any way he would have dinner with an agent without letting Roy or someone with the compliance office know. Assuming they did, I am sure they made it clear he had to pay. And get a receipt. If he did, this will be a non story in no time. Produce the receipt showing Tony paid for the meal and it is over. Same with Brice.
Second, with the names, amounts paid out and programs involved, the only way the NCAA dares to attempt to remove that banner is if they want to make an example of everyone on that list. Doing that would be catastrophic to the game and they would be best served to just call off the next 2 seasons as punishment
Third, look at past punishments for similar infractions. A meal being paid for by an agent is relatively minor in terms of what the NCAA views as impermissible benefits. Usually you pay back the money or tack on some fine to go with it. If the dinner occurred after the championship game, it won’t matter a bit. Brice’s appears to be before the game, so that would mean a receipt would have to be produced showing he paid for his own meal. Brice is a smart kid who loves UNC, so I feel pretty certain his is on the up and up.

This is the only thing keeping me from being very angry.
It is very minor compared to what DSJ, BAM, Carter, etc. are accused of doing.
Bear in mind that this is just the docs seized from one agency. You can rest assured every significant agency and lots of the mid-size ones have very similar processes - and that's just the agencies - we're not even talking what might find it's way to players from the schools or their intermediaries.
I will never understand why people keep such detailed records of cheating.
Mabye it's possible that the agent's expense for these meals is only his half of the meal, and our guys paid for their half. That would be nice

I looked at the article but didn't see the cost of the meal. Did I just miss that somehow? I really hope that is correct! I would absolutely despise Tony if he screwed the title up for Roy, the team and us fans.
Bradley isnt listed in the expense report, likely meaning he/his family paid for the meal. Not against the rules to meet with an agent

As long as we did not pay a player who cares. Take the slap on the wrist and move on. I said it before I would not be surprised if something small took place at UNC only because I know a pretty good amount of D1 athletes in different sports (multiple schools) and refuse to be stupid on how reality goes. If this is nothing more than agent meals then we are good. Pay back the meal and lose of a scholly. Who cares happens all the time.
