One more example of why Rob Manfred Needs to go

I love baseball, and I always will despite all of it's much discussed problems, but this is just embarrassing. The league office says it wants to attract new players and especially kids to the sport, but then celebrates owners who purposefully spend the least amount on player contract. Did they think kids wouldn't mind making less money playing baseball than they would in other sports? Making the decision to hand out these "belts" is bad enough, but to openly admit to doing it when they know they are about to negotiate a new labor deal with the players union is absolutely insane. Manfred is a tool, and needs to be removed as soon as possible.

Arbitration is so stupid. But with that said, I have a major problem with the amount of money these guys demand for doing something so inconsequential. And then being pissy about “only” making $20 million per year. Of course that’s not unique to baseball players but our society’s obsession with pro sports is downright embarrassing.
